Note that to get to the Gallery Cafe, go in the main doors from Great Russell Street, then immediately turn left, proceed through the long corridor with the cloakrooms, through rooms 11 and 12 (Greek Cycladic and Minoan) and the Gallery Cafe is at the end.

Personally, I don't recommend you meeting in the Gallery Cafe. THe central court is designed as a place for people to meet and can cater for hundreds of people. The cafe is tiny. But I won't be there at that time, so it is up to you.

G, I'll accept your knowledge, as I am at the British Museum... Watch this space as, if as I suspect, G is right.. (He always is!!!) I'll give you an update as to where to meet, and thanks for that...

Hi folks...

Here's an update on Engineering works on the Underground next weekend.

No service on the District line between Dagenham East and Upminster.
No service on the Jubilee line between Green Park and Stratford.
No service on the Metropolitan line between Northwood and Watford. (Locals only)
No service on the Bakerloo line between Paddington and Harrow & Wealdstone (Bakerloo line) and Euston to Willesden.

There is also no connection between Monument and Bank stations, except for Northern Line and Dockland Light Railway.

I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone, and I'm to give alternative directions if it does.

See you all in 7 or 8 days, depending...

I haven't a clue if it concerns me. As long as the Picadilly line isn't closed, I don't mind. I'll just take whatever underground/ is available.
I have to admit, though, that I'm not keen on trying to find out which to take - and I *always* wait on the wrong side of the road and nearly end up going in the wrong direction.

Btw, meant to ask earlier but forgot ():

Which days exactly are we talking about here?
I take it this is the plan for Saturday (and maybe Sunday), but not for Friday?

B'Elana, if you mean the Underground disruption, it is Saturday and Sunday I was referring to. Friday's problems will just be rush-hour, and the fact it is pay-day for the Oiks again... But with the worries about jobs and the Financial situation, I'm hoping I'm hoping the Oiks will behave and it will not be as bad as last time...
