Do you think bottled water tastes better?
Nope.
Do you think bottled water is better for you?
Nope.
Or do you think the fascination with bottled water is a load of old nonsense?
Yup.
Do you drink imported 'minerally' water?
Never, when I *do* buy mineral water (e.g. when on a long journey and the bottle of tap water from home has run out) it's always stuff from the UK.
Is bottled water perceived as more stylish than tap?
Definitely. I have heard people in pubs and resturants specifically asking for bottled water instead of tap water, and sometimes even asking if they can have a specific 'brand' (Evian, et al).
Do you think someone's thrifty or environmentally conscientious when they ask for tap water in a restaurant?
Not at all, I simply think that they quite rightly beleive they shouldn't have to pay for the stuff.
Do the air miles attached to imported waters bother you?
Not especially, I'm more concerned about the air miles attached to things like organic beef from Argentina. Surely such a long journey offsets the environmental benefits of raising the cattle organically.
Do you recycle your plastic water bottles?
When there are plastic water bottles in the house they are recycled. Along with the plastic milk bottles and pop bottles.
Should bottled water be banned?
No, but a greater public awareness that it's not all it's cracked up to be would be good ("fills you with volcanicity" my arse).
Will wars eventually be fought over access to drinking water?
Doubtful, if conditions ever got that bad most of the human population would likely be dead already.
