Many people remember Wallace and Gromit but what about Nick Park their creator?

Cracking Entry, Gromit!

This seems comprehensive and very well-written to me. You could include a mention of Nick's writing partner Bob Baker, who is (arguably) better known as the co-creator of K-9.

That would also give you an excuse to link to my Entry at A30924164!

Lovely entry - I enjoyed it immensely. But I hated the final paragraph. It just seemed rushed. So I'll just rant for a while...

smiley - grr You're dealing with Curse of the Were rabbit, Flushed Away, two series of Creature comforts and a hell of a lot else, and you've crammed it all into one paragraph?

smiley - grr This entry is about Nick Park, not Aardman. I think you really should try and give him the last word, even if it means cutting back on the Aardman detail.

smiley - grr It's never mentioned that Flushed Away was CGI rather than Claymation, a major departure for Aardman. Shouldn't you mention this more?

smiley - grr Can we have a link to a Leonard Cheshire website?

smiley - grr "was like a hammer horror film but instead of suggesting to lock up the kids" Apart from the fact you need to capitalise Hammer Horror, I really don't think this makes sense.

I might sound grumpy, but I couldn't think of a word of criticism for the rest of this entry, and the final paragraph really lets it down.

A couple of minor points:

smiley - star'Heat Electric' was not a company in itself, merely a slogan of the Electricity Council (which represented the various regional electricity boards plus the CEGB as I recall). I've seen this error made elsewhere, it's funny how quickly people have forgotten how our public utilities used to be run.

smiley - starIt's 'Shaun the Sheep', not Sean.

I like the entry smiley - smiley

Perhaps some mention of the fire at an Aardman storage building in 2005? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/4326286.stm Although I'm not sure whether this is really necessary since the entry is about Nick Park rather than Aardman...

I would perhaps say that Gromit was framed for sheep rustling (in A Close Shave) by the mechanical dog belonging to Wendolene... although that's not totally necessary, I suppose.

"... since gone on to achieve his own series..." - not sure "achieve" is the right word, perhaps "star in" would be better?

Hi me[Andy]g

As you say the fire isn't really necessary as the entry is about Nick Park. The fire is mentioned in the entry Wallace and Gromit though.

You seem a bit undecided about the second point too, but I guess the entry on Wallace and Gromit already covers this.

I think you are right about the last one. The word 'achieve' may sound like he's alive.
