We can't just sit in the pub all day again.
Can we?
No. No, we can't. We must find something else to do! Any ideas?

Is there a planetarium in Edinburgh? I'm from the softie south, down in Southerness nr Dumfries. There are bits of that other country still further north than this (although I'm working on it). Just me and ediglehart here as far as I'm aware. How do I sign up to SRG, or is my daftalyser just in overdrive? Found the link thru the Map, so I did, neither I didn't, and just thought that our immortal bard would be much more apropriate as a symbol of Scotland than the wee driveller buried at St Michael's in Dumfries!!
Maybe a bit early in the day for it, but my old pal Carl used to go to Leith to watch the hoo'ers fighting when at a loss for something to do!

The only thing I can think of that might have a planetarium is Our Dynamic Earth at Holyrood (dynamicearth.co.uk), but as it's mainly about oor wee planet I really have no idea Maybe we can go and find out?

I like the planetarium suggestion but I'm less keen on the dancing.

If the weather holds, we could do what we did on the very first Towel Day way back in 2002 - namely, sit in Princes Street Gardens getting pished.

I was going to suggest we go to the museum but most of it is closed off atm Getting pished in the gardens it is!

We could try and gain some respectability by dressing it up as a picnic.
Yes! Picnic in Princes Street Gardens!
No ball games though, remember.

In my general booze store i have:
One massive bottle Asda Whisky
2 Hoegaarden (in my fridge)
-----
U c i was at the Punx Piknik in Faslane at the weekend
i have to take it easy so i think it will be healthy beers and the odd lager with good food for me
the whisky is there but alcoholism isn't all that
and i have a French buddy who might be round so is there anyone planning more than a booze cruise
PS with the way the weather is beer gardens sound great has the Standing Order got one?

fords - number 1 all over heaven Posted May 7, 2008
That's one thing the Standing Order doesn't have, but Edinburgh is hardly short of pubs so I'm sure we could find a nice pub with a beer garden
