out there?
I am desperately trying to trace if possible, before it is too late(if not already) a lady who became close to my father when he was stationed in Holland and Belgium during WW2.
I am hoping to circulate all details that I have on a Dutch/Belgium website, alas,I do not speak the language.Hence my search for someone ,who may be able to underftake this for me.....please pretty please can anyone help.
My father thought a lot of this lady and I do not have a problem with the circumstances of their meeting.
I have placed pictures of on my page(joyfuldevongirl) of this pretty lady, please anyone....take a look.

You haven't chosen the best place to post your request. I would suggest trying one of the h2g2 language club/society pages (eg A1145477 ) or the general <./>Askh2g2</.> page.

There is a National Dutch broadcasting company (a Dutch BBC) called the KRO - who have a radio program called 'adres onbekend' translated means 'address unknown'. Every sunday between 12:00 and 14:00 they help listeners track down long lost friends, relatives etc in the Netherlands and elsewhere....and it's free! I have been a big fan of the program for years and it is absolutely 1st class listening pleasure - although it is in Dutch. They have an army of people (listeners) who also help in the search and their success rate is quite high! The name of the presenter is Ron Kas - a really nice guy.
I'm sure they would be interested in your case. You can send them an email explaining your case and possibly scanned copies of the letters you mentioned and hopefully they will help you find the person you are looking for. They do handle requests in English.
The email address for the radio program is: [email protected]
They all speak English - so that should not be a problem.
Hope this works - and let me know if you have any success through this posting.
Kind Regards and lots of success,
Brianable
