Perhaps I might be getting the hang of this story writing lark. It's hard to tell whether they're any good or not until someone says one way or the other. In any case, I'm trying my bestsmiley - smiley

Thank you bothsmiley - smiley I really appreciate your kind words!

Are there still magazines that publish short stories Fizzymouse? I never buy them so hadn't really thought about it. If you know of any that go in for the sort of stories I write (category: spooky), please let me know and I might have a go. Nothing to lose by trying I guess. The worst they could do is tell me to get lostsmiley - run

I'm very pleased to know I don't cause you too much editing agro lilsmiley - laugh The next story might be a little tiny bit more complicated. I'm just trying to get it finished ready for the week-end submission deadline. It might be split into 2 separate entries, possiblysmiley - erm

Hi Tibley,

If you split it, send both through if they are ready, and I will keep the second part to one side for the following issue smiley - biggrinsmiley - hug

That's nice of you Fizzymousesmiley - smiley If they're hard to find, please don't let it take up too much of your time. I'd have a look myself, but the last time I was in a shop that sold magazines, I think they spelt it "ye olde sweety shope and poste office" (suffice to say, a long time ago).

Sorry lilsmiley - erm I seem to have misled you. The one I'm trying to finish in time for the Sunday deadline is not intended to be split in a serial way but in a loopy way. For an example of one I did earlier, see A27411202 and you'll notice there's a link at the end of each story ("Specimen" and "The Collector") so the reader can click and jump to the other story. It has to work as a loop and not a serial otherwise the reader would lose the thread by the end of a fortnight. If it can't be done like that, I'll find a way to get them both on the same page, if that's okaysmiley - smiley
