Please let me know how to create an object that moves across the page from left to right -- e.g. a picture of musical notes. Thanks.

You need to use the marquee tag. It explains about it all here A789942 - but note that it isn't supported by all browsers.
Need any more help just reply here!

Thanks, Mort for the tip. I read up on the use of the Marquee tag and it was fun to see all that movement all over the page. But it's too complicated for me!

Hi Bob,
Thanks for replying. Naturally I've visited your space and am sure impressed by how busy you've been! I like the Brunel Blueification and would like to swap if for my green but first things first. May I request you to be more precise w/the instructions. In other words, when I open up My Space, where do I type in , etc. Also, do I type the info you've provided as you have, i.e. one under the other:-
<smiley type="musical note"/>
?
I'm off to bed now and will click online tomorrow.

You can plae it anywhere inbetween the body tags. The marquee will take up the whole line on the page.
There's a page for MARQEE at A789942.
To get it to go -->, you'll need to use DIRECTION="RIGHT", like this:
Things in here scroll
So, putting it all together:
Stuff before the marquee:
<SMILEY TYPE="musicalnote"/>
Stuff after the marquee

Hi Bob,
I have literally typed out your directions and have, instead, received notices of error in red lettering, saying either that the "following tags were not closed, Guide.", or only one top element is allowed (what does "top element" mean?), or that something was expected as "Null".

To show you what I mean, go to A2092358 (and <./>test2092358</.>. I've looked at the code for your PS and used it in that entry.

Hi Bob,
I've seen what you've done. It's simply terrific and just what I'd be happy with. I don't know if this is a silly question now, but could you do the marqueeing for me? I must confess I had help with cutting/pasting the picture of musical instruments and will have to seek it again if the remote-control doesn't work. Thanks a lot, I'm really quite thrilled!

Hi Bob,
Í've just tried to cut and paste your directions and it hasn't worked. I'll now be e-mailing my bro.-in-law to see me thro' this hurdle. [What I did was to open your testing page and copy my text, which was well-paragraphed by you, plus the marquee directions for the wobble up and down animated musical note. I then opened my space, clicked on the edit whatever and pasted the information. Upon previewing, the same notices of error in red lettering was the result.] Well, Rome wasn't built in a day!

Hi Mort,
This is an SOS! Please read the postings on this between Bob Mcbob and myself. I'm still stuck and would like to replicate what he's been able to work out for me. Thanking you in advance.
