h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Why can't I copy and paste something I've got on paintshop pro into my introduction. I can understand you don't want anything offensive but couldn't it be cleared? What I want to include is an Italian mobile logo which has the word joy in it.Lowena is Cornish for joy,y'see.

unfortunately we are not allowed any non-h2g2 images in entries or personal spaces at all. this is not only to stop offensive pictuers, but because of copyright laws as well.

Need to start a picture library then. If I can take this image out of an e-mail print it off scan it in etc.....oh of course its a bbc thang. Thanx for replying anyways

We definitely wouldn't be allowed to reproduce a logo. If they are not copyrighted or trademarked, they'll be registered.

...but all you have to do with registered trademarks is acknowledge them, isn't that right? No trade organisation wants to restrict the quantity of their trademarks seen by the public (the more often people see Coca-cola's logo without them paying for it, the better!), they just want to ensure there's no 'passing off'.
