Gweenie, since you were all ready for TV- how 'bout we watch my cabin building movies? I got the camera just before I built this place...so neither Bear nor I knew how to use it! Thought that would be really together, since I was (trying) to film the backhoe just starting to make a bit of a hill for the cabin & digging for the pool (I actually was swimming in the pool one full year before the place was livable! HA!) All the fellows who built my home have been very good pals for more than 20 years! This really is my dream home, mainly because my friends built it! But I digress. After the 1st few minutes Stewart got down off his machine, walked up to me & said,"Hey,Val! I think you'll get a much better result if you open the lens!" Where's a rock when you need one to crwal under?!?

2:15am...time to toddle off. Bear bought me a new Queen size bed. It's
lovely, but I need to buy a step stool for it! It's so high up-I can't even sit on it! I have to climb into it! Reminds me of my Ganny's bed when I was little & it was nap time!

We were going to build our own place in New Zealand, but ended up returning to the U.K. because things didn't work out the way we planned.

I used to have a Poncho when I was a wee beastie that my parents bought me whilst on holiday in Spain. It was jolly warm and very colourful!

John and I used to have a huge round bed, as it was more comfortable for John who is 6'2", but now we have a Queen size futon which we bought when we lived in New Zealand. It's very low and is easy for me to roll out of onto all fours so I can pull myself to standing first thing in the morning!

I think we could all use a typing class. In Jr. High, I'm afraid I drove the teacher over the edge-they had to take the poor man out in a straight jacket! (no kidding) I was a horror! A TRUE leader...I should have been killed as a wee babe! Saved so many so much trouble.

Speaking of Dark side of the Moon: remember 8 tracks?? (My personal favorite form of musical listening) One week-end (in my 1st two room
apt.) we let Dark Side play non-stop from Friday until someone smelled smoke on Sunday afternoon! Seems after 50 hours or so-a tape melts! HA! So went the way of my Favorite tape & my 1st stereo! Ahhh, those were the 'good old days'. No money, no cares, no untreatable dieases..
just love & parties & more love...geesh, sort of like it s now...Hmmm.

Gweenie, I'd LOVE to hear more about New Zeland!!! My friend David Grove hailed from there. He now has a place in London & in the US, He's a therapist & writer. (He's beautiful) Always wanting me to come to London for Christmas. He's published two books that I know of, I have one, a patient's Mother gave me. David told me some about New Zeland. At the time he was bitter. He'd lost a large sum of $$$ when his funds were tranfered from there to the US. The exchange rate nearly did him in! I want to dive the reef! It looks wonderful on TV!
I don't like all the snakes there! I've thought of living in Denmark or Irland. Bear wants to stay right here-he has family. I keep reminding him, I'm not marring his family-Am I???
