Me cannot say that enough... There is something completely wrong with this one... me is... have never been... and never will be green!!!! Yes indeedy... and what is with all the Ho..ho..hooing??? Does me look of the dwarvish demeanour... does me carry a long handled pick and sing endlessly of Gold???? Well does me!!!!!
~Greebo stands paws on fashionably plump hips and taps her foot warningly~

(Me thinks this was written in jest... but you can't be to sure at times)

Loup Dargent Posted Sep 30, 2004
I'm sure they meant "green" as "environment friendly" like...
The great thing with this one is that you can get as many slogans as you want and keep the one you prefer...

Aha!!!! So instead of trying again and again to find an appropriate slogan for me... you just ran with the first one that came along... That smacks of laziness... and just because you want to be in every way like me as me is so good and smart and worthwhile and such... there's no jolly good need to become a lazy as me to prove a point me thinks..
~Huffle~

Who said that was the first one that came along?...

~Greebo's eyes narrow menacingly~
Me just assumed... so what was the first one?

I'm taking the fifth on that one...
Let's just say that it was not printable for a family site [well, a BBCi site anyway]... It was not rude but could definitely have been misinterpreted...
Mind you that would have helped boosting the ratings a tad...

What fifth one are you taking... me hopes not doughnut... cause that ones mine... and all the rest come to think of it... ~anxious grin~
Me doesn't think your ratings need a boast... me is really rather enjoying your articles about name changes and such (apart from this one of course which had called great stress and anxiety)... Me also thinks... a great thinking cat me is... ~wink~... that others are enjoying them as much looking at all the conversations that spring up around your articles... clever you... ~hugs~

Well, they are fun to research and write... and the convos do add that extra [and great] "je ne sais quoi" to them...
So, really, it's team work at its best...
The proverbs one gives some err interesting results as well...

quizzical Posted Sep 30, 2004
The proverb and movie generators both displayed 'loup.dargent' when I went to them. Apparently the programmer(s) neglected to reset some variables...
Anyway, my name yields the following:
Built Quizzical Tough. (Did that thing just insinuate that I'm built like a Ford truck?! )
And the old man says: 'The first quizzical is the hardest.' (Hard? )
And finally:
The Bridge Over The Quizzical Kwai
....

Loup Dargent Posted Sep 30, 2004
I've guessed what movie it was...
There are some weird slogans... Not all of them are really relevant to names on their own... Worth trying another one [or two]...
On my way to check something...
NO...NO...NO...NO...NO!!!!
Loup Dargent Posted Sep 30, 2004
Hmmm... I didn't realise that the proverbs one was set for my name...
I knew about the slogans one, but didn't change it as I didn't want to risk our readers being welcomed by a slogan containing certain not-very-nice words as, sometimes, naughty words are being submitted...
Anyway, I got welcomed with:
>AND THE OLD MAN SAYS:
"Barking loup.dargents seldom bite." <
But, then again, he also says:
"There's no h2g2 Post without fire."
You've been warned...

Titania's Girl
(Gregory's Girl, 1981, Bill Forsyth)
"There is safety in Titanias."
Pah - what would they know?
NO...NO...NO...NO...NO!!!!
Loup Dargent Posted Oct 1, 2004
A one there...
As for "There is safety in Titanias.", hmmm... yeah... they're not always accurate... For example with the "Barking loup.dargents seldom bite." they're soooo wrong: I don't live in Barking at all....

The eloisa justifies the the means.
You know it makes sense. Remember,
Do as eloisa, not as I do.
Remember that and you will all lead long and happy lives

...and one of your British Movie Titles would be:
All Eloisas Great and Small
[All Creatures Great and Small (1974, Claude Whatham)]
I've only discovered right now that we get a different title every time for our names...
One of my other Movie Titles is:
Loup Dargent in La Mancha
[Lost in La Mancha (2002, Keith Fulton)]
