Hi!
This entry is part of a massive (I haven't decided how many parts) entry on Yellowstone that I'm attempting to do. I think it's complete, but nothing is every really complete until it gets through Peer Review!
This is about the European and American exploration of Yellowstone before it became a National Park. The native americans and prehistory I'm lumping in together, as well as the issues the nation had to grapple with as a result of Yellowstone becoming a national park. Please let me know what this needs, what it doesn't need, and what's good!
Thanks!

I like it - well written and interesting.
I'd say it doesn't need a great deal really, if you're going to put the rest of the history in around it.

good informative article. Just a couple of things...
1. "a map or the Missouri River " --> a map of the Missouri River
2. " US Government's energy in the 1850's" ---> 1850s

Unfortunately, I'm a bit more picky. Itching as I am to recommend this (scouts got some extree picks), I can wait until you've seen the following list of grievances
“Struggles with the American Civil War occupied much of the US Government's energy in the 1850s”
The US Civil War took place in the 1860s. Did you mean the political battle that took place over slavery? That was pretty energy-sapping as well
St. Louis, Missouri --> St Louis, Missouri
Daniel T. Potts --> Daniel T Potts
Nathaniel P. Langford --> Nathaniel P Langford
The First "Real" Expedition --> The First ‘Real’ Expedition
Harper's Magazine purportedly responded to the stories as follows: "We do not publish fiction
Closing quote in single quotes please
This is officially know as the Washburn expedition

was then still know as

Finally. Remember to add periods at the end of each footnote.
Good work, by the way. I know absolutely nothing about Yellowstone, so this was really interesting.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
