Some good improvements there, especially the new info about the castle.

You have ignored quite a few of my suggestions though. That's your perogative, of course, but I think they were good ones. smiley - erm For example, you still haven't explained what you meant by Roman station or linked to my entry. There is an entry on Roman Roads and Bridges somewhere in the EG you can link to when you mention Roman roads.

You have a typo at one point. medievil -> medieval

Also "Bourne has several/lots (depending on how many there actually are) of popular pubs."

What I meant here was that if Bourne only has those three pubs you mention, say it has several pubs, but if it has quite a few, say it has lots.

I've made changes and added some more information, with new information about the Roman period and information about the history of Bourne itself. smiley - smiley

Well done Davesmiley - smiley

During the 1960s, engineers from the electricity board dug a trench, accompained by archaeologists and a historian. A little medievil pottery was found, dating from the mid or late 13th century at the earliest, but it was stressed that it didn't prove that the castle could not have been built before that date.

That reads like the archaeologists and historian and the electricity board all arrived together, which I doubt. The double-negative at the end is quite confusing too. You should rephrase as:

During the 1960s, engineers from the electricity board dug a trench and found some mediaeval pottery which archaeologists and historians later dated to around the 13th Century. However, this didn't prove or disprove the existence of the castle or settlement.

Now, move the Bowthorpe Oak bit into the "History" section.

And change it from:
Bowthorpe Oak

Not far from Bourne, is a very old oak tree known as Bowthorpe Oak, it has known to be around since around 1000AD.

This tree, with a girth of 40ft large, was fitted with a door and seats in 1768, as the centre was hollowed over the course of time. During its life, it has been used as a pigeon house, in the crown of the ancient oak tree, as a room where 20 people could eat. But now, it is a home for the sheep and chickens.

I think the sub can tinker with this now, it's been here a long time and apart from a quick shuffle it looks ready. Any other comments?
