First past the post puts your country at risk of having the majority of voters against the elected government. How wise is that? Most people are already estranged from the powers that be.
UKIP won 21% of the votes in the last election, yet only have one representative in the house. I am absolutely against UKIP, but I wonder what this does to a country.
In theory it might make people vote for Bexit even if they wanted to remain...

It's unfortunate that so few people understand different kinds of voting models. Of the many democracies in the world I think it is only a handful or major ones that still use first past the post, mostly former British colonies: UK, Canada, New Zealand, India and US being the biggest. All the rest of Europe, for example, uses other models I believe.

Okay! I'm staring to write up my paper now that the discussion forum has petered out a bit. Now I just have figure out how to fit everything from this new phase of research into... um... -2000 words. Yeah, it seems like the paper as is is already 10000 words and my limit is 8000. I guess I have a bunch of cutting to do!

I'm going to manage ONE system for the forseeable future - a document management and issue management system combined. In ONE company. Applying my validation skills, which have been improved in my years as consultant, with the addition of end user support, and being the link to the suppliers of the system.

I've been a consultant since 2008 (gosh, 8 years!) and it's been fun, apart from the constant building up and leaving work relationships with the customers. Being introvert, it got very wearing in the end, so I look forward to being on a permanent position now.

And yeah, since mum died (2 years ago today), and the travel got much more intense, I've struggled. The projects got crazier too. So after the crash in January and a spring of therapy and recuperation, I think I found what I'm better suited for. smiley - smiley

The company has developed an injectable bone cement, that can be used for osteoporosis, as well as fractures and other bone void issues (I guess removed tumours? Still learning on this). It's really a cool product. You can bear weight after only a day, and after a while, part of it dissolves, and the remaining scaffolding helps the new bone to grow and fill up the voids.

Very cool! I bet it could be use for things like dentistry too. I got a dental implant a while back and needed a bone graft to build up the area. Best of luck with it!!

Thanks all! Perhaps it could be used off licence (or is already licenced for dental! )
