Still up over here (02:00)
With a severe case of wind,
It's blowing a right hoolie outside.

Congratulations GDZ!
Don't you dare send the wind overseas, BAld Bloke!
And I'm up at silly o'clock (4.40 am) because young idiots don't have the sense to a) keep their voices down or b) not stomping when going upstairs when returning from, no doubt, a late night out.

Congratulations GDZ! You've worked extremely hard to get to this moment and we're all proud of you.
In other news, there will be a new conversation at the beginning of 2014. Fully scribed. Shall we move on January 1st?

Carol just called it a hoolie on the BBC weather.

Is it too late for another tree decoration? It's a gingerbread star, to show that good things come out of disaster. I have had a bit of a gingerbread house catastrophe this Christmas. But sometimes we need to do things differently, to remind ourselves why we always do it the way we do
A new convo for the new year sounds good
Right, my busiest day of the year is about to begin (and it's busier than usual this year, what with the gingerbread house still in a the form of two blocks of dough, rather than being a finished structure ready to stick sweets to). If I don't manage to pop back in later in the day, warmest wishes to all.

In the course of scribing, which is well in hand, I came across the link of that site where modern faces are 'shopped into Old Masters. The latest contest is holiday themed, and some of these made me giggle:

Look for George Washington...

Anyone familiar with the systweak dot com Windows repair tool? I keep seeing their ad everywhere, but would like to know if anyone here has used it.

Just got a SMS from a cousin wishing me a merry Christmas and typing a reply in Finnish gave me a I'm crap at writing in Finnish, I only speak it (never studied it) so I had to google the spelling of some of the words.
So this is how 'Merry christmas to you too, and to your family' looks like in Finnish (might be useful for someone to know):
'Hyvää Joulua myös sinulle, ja sinun perheelle'
Gotta love postpositions (they're the main reason I have problems typing Finnish). Literally translated word by word, it would be:
'Merry Christmas also to-you, and your to-family'
Pardon for being an over-analzying language

Sorry Ti
it's bound to head your way later, at the moment it's having a go at northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
For the tree I supply a decoratively wrapped cat, ornament, not sure how long it will stay wrapped for, mind you.
The full size version probably wouldn't stay put on the tree

*Enters and hangs up a spherical crystal ornament that has six much smaller ornaments zipping around it with no visible means of support*
There you go. The gift of carbon for the holidays. Better on a tree than in a stocking.
I'm not about as much as I'd like, but it just never feels like Christmas without a stop at Lil's, or hootoo in general. My year without Internet is just about over, only a few days left. And, as has been the case for the entire year, I expect to get my Internet connection back any week now.

To the tree I shall add a cherub (for R) and a thimble sized bell.
We get our internet connected at the new house on January 1st.

Oh, and as a side note, did someone leave my reality warper plugged in for the holidays or is it something wrong with the Classic Goo skin? I've avoided getting used to any other skin, but I'm seeing a lot of posts that just seem empty, here and elsewhere.
Key: Complain about this post
