Time for another DASN (Dark and Stormy Night) game! 
Old hands know how this works. For newcomers, the rules are simple. Simply use the subject header to add to the story. You can leave the text area blank unless you have a query about the game.
The game works best if you leave an unfinished sentence at the end of your post so that the next player can build on it.
In cases of simpost, first post to appear wins and should be used by the next player.
I, the atelier hostess, am the referee. I will disallow posts that attempt to end the game prematurely (Ex.: "Everybody dies. The End.") or that are clearly intended to spoil the game. I will also assist in disentangling sequential simposts and other problems that may arise with the continuity of the story.
You don't need to be a salonista to participate.
This is not a regular conversation -- that's going on in other threads. This thread is purely for use in the Dark and Stormy Night game.
