I've just deleted a rather boring post about me and running. Suffice to say that I don't often run these days but when I do, Led Zep's Rock & Roll is guaranteed to make me pick up the pace.
I recently bought a 5 cd compilation of 101 Running tracks. There are some good tracks on there - and Tumthumping's one of them

ps - does anyone else find Stairway to Heaven makes them tearful?

I always tear up when I hear Two Little Boys, how sad is that? Might have to investigate that collection T - maybe some good music for my long walks will help me keep the pace.

Thanks for excellent scribings Lil and a new, squeaky clean convo; Won't take us long to change that.
Back at the grindstone after a long weekend that was taken up with a big afternoon party, yesterday, for Mrs WA's significant birthday. House full of friends, superb outside caterers, loads of booze, kids, dogs and frogs. Wonderful.

Slipped through a bit of a wormhole there, Sunday party, nobody but nobody parties on a Monday, do they?

Congratters to Mrs WA on her significant birthday
That album works out at about 8p a track, Kelli - and it's great for motorway driving but not so good for built-up areas

I spent Monday going around the hoose finding bunches of flowers and bottles of wine, we have very generous friends.

Pedros_Ecosse - I always look this confused! :) Posted Mar 23, 2010
when I was based in Cyprus it was great, you were given an extra fridge by the MoD and you could take your own as well.
One was food, one was beer and if we got low on beer we had a bbq and everyone always brought more beer than they needed! Voila one fridge full of beer
the following month someone else would do it and so the debt was repayed

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky. Posted Mar 23, 2010
Couldn't find a save point in FFXIII last night, far too many cut scenes and then a massive fight, that I lost twice. Couldn't get in bed, hubby was sprawled and son was a letter 'C'. So I played Chime (The Philip Glass track) and got to level 4 before I couldn't see anymore. I fell asleep on the sofa. Camaris thought this was excellent, 'I'm going to sit on the kitchen window sill, and then going to jump over Mags to get to the lounge window sill and then I'm going to sit on her' Twithead.
I'm tired now.

You're not alone on that Kelli - Two Little Boys makes me cry too, I know why though - me and a sadly deceased mate used to sit at the bar after a long night and drunkenly sing it.

Me three, Kelli. And II *know* it's the most synthetic pap and a favourite of Margaret Thatcher to boot.

Found a new food store in Stockholm through a Swedish blogger, and their site makes me Definitely need to get over there (just one tube station away from w*rk, on the next isle). Irish butcher and Welsh chef - now, doesn't that sound like a nice combination? Not that I'm sure what they're doing in Sweden...

Don't know Two Little Boys - well, not song of that title, anyway... Love Stairway to Heaven, with no misting over.
*goes to look for a song that mentions "Misty" and goes something like "I guess that song was written just for me"*

Aha!
Cæcilie Norby, Brand New Life:
"Me, my sleep, my life-routine
I'm like a kitten left alone in a tree
I get so misty, I've heard it in a love song
Guess that melody was written just for me"

I wish I knew Two Little Boys. I'll try to look it out.
Several things bring me to tears, but they're all choral works that I've sung in good choirs. It's the association with the sensation you get when being so a part of the music that it turns your senses upsidedown.
That and 'Victoria's Secret' from the Due South album. Still gets me (as does that entire episode).

Count yourself lucky, San. One of several Rolf Harris 'songs' that were inflicted on the charts in the 60s.
