The Exhibition Area - Party Time!!!!
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 26, 2005
*several bots step out of the SWIFT carrying a folded trampoline*
*they set it up in the middle of the exhibition area, where it takes up a great amount of space*
Right. When we get Teuchter down, I'm going to try this thing out. I've always wanted to take a closer look at the murals on the ceiling.

Teuchter Posted May 26, 2005
* not having managed to do that ballerina thing where they look at one spot and then whip their head round to look at it again on the next rotation......Teuchter is feeling very dizzy, but manages to gently loosen one of the squids tentacles from the neck of the balloon.
"Ah, that's better. I seem to be slowing down a little"
*gently loosens another tentacle
"Hmm - slowing down a bit more"
*bravely loosens all the remaining tentacles and falls onto the trampoline - again and again and again - and finally comes to a rest in a pathetic heap
"Lil - if you're going to try that, I'd advise taking travel sickness pills first"

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 27, 2005
*clambers onto the trampoline ad begins jumping up and down experimentally*
Nah.
*begins jumping higher* Woo hoo!

*snores gently in her chair*

*attempts a somersault and lands on her back, continuing to bounce*

Agapanthus Posted May 27, 2005
*meanders in, looking for her thesaurus. Finds him standing with his little fore-paws on the leg of the trampoline, gazing enraptured at the bouncing Lil, and squeaking very quietly. The squeaks sound alarmingly like words: 'bounce, bob, boomerang, bound, buck, bump, carom, jounce, jump, kick back, leap, rebound, recoil, resile, ricochet, saltate, spring up, vault..'*

Teuchter Posted May 27, 2005
*crawls unsteadily towards the edge of the trampoline, counting herself lucky that Lil hasn't accidentally jumped on her, and dreeps over the side onto the floor
The Exhibition Area - Party Time!!!!
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 27, 2005
*arches her back on a big bounce and comes to her feet, and embarks on some really BIG bounces*
Well hallo there, little fellow! What are you?
The Exhibition Area - Party Time!!!!
Agapanthus Posted May 27, 2005
*lifts Teuchter carefully onto a gurney for a quiet lie-down*
This? This is my new pet thesaurus. Lentilla gave him to me. As you can see, he's still quite young, only about the size of a small cat, but looks remarkably like a miniature iridescent blue triceratops. I am reliably informed he won't grow to quite reach knee-height, and is very well-behaved and friendly. I am however keeping him well away from the library until he learns not to pull books off shelves at random. I have, with remarkable lack of originality, named him Roget. I'll take him back to his cage now, shall I?

Why, is he not house trained? Will he drop participles all over the carpet?
The Exhibition Area - Party Time!!!!
Agapanthus Posted May 28, 2005
If it's not participles on the carpet, it's synonyms sprayed against sofas. I have got him to stop spraying ME with synonyms, so we're getting there.

So cute. I wish I had one of those to help me find synonyms when searching for information with unimaginative students...

Kat - From H2G2 Posted Jun 28, 2005
*Kat runs in, trips over all the continuity left over, sweeps it quickly under the carpet, and then runs over to the piano and sits down to start drumming out arpeggios, five minutes per key. The speed varies wildly as she is unsure how fast they should be, until there is a crashing sound and she lays her head onto the keyboard*
Grumble!

*All ears*
Relax, take it easy,
You'll do fine. Take it from the top - with confidence.
I'm sure you can play the music as well as the notes.

We do seem to have a lot of musical people in the Atelier. I wonder if an Atelier band could be cobbled together?
Keep up with the practice, Kat!

IF we did do a band we'd need to get a rhythm section together... does anybody play drums or bass (either double or guitar)?
The Exhibition Area - Party Time!!!!
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Jun 28, 2005
For Kat's sake let it be assumed that the party is long over and that the exhibition area is cleaned up and back to its normal self, with a baby grand in it.
