Downwind of the rotating device is not a good place to be, as Irv said a good number of emails may be used as a sheild but you still don't escape the pong.
Not knowing how the organisation your in works, I can't suggest a definite sh1t avoidance plan. the only ways out I can see is to:
Make it work despite the boss
or
Find a senior enough ally to get those who created the upcoming disaster but are even further from the reality of the situation, to take notice and solve the problem before their favoured son drops himself right in it, and quite possibly has to involve them in cleaning up the mess.
One key question is will the wreck occur before or after you get your Phd?

BB, this is my last teaching assignment before getting those fancy letters. And one of the only reasons he got the job is because he DOES have those letters after his name.

Great scribing Thinker, I quite like the summation, myself. Makes it easy to look up lost links...
MR, what Irv said. Always CYA in case of trainwreck. As for avoiding splatter, always stand out of the breeze from rotating device.

I used the classic 'teach a man to ' technique there, lml. I gave you an é to get you started, then I taught you the code so you can make one whenver you want. Enjoy!

OK, time to recruit scribes already! Who's up for doing 500 posts?
We're 8 conversations away from 100X. I could see that happening this autumn.

Amy Pawloski, aka 'paper lady'--'Mufflewhump'?!? click here to find out... (ACE) Posted Mar 23, 2009
Hm... I'll take 1500-2000, Lil--I tend to be on here during the wee hours, feeding the wee one, so it'll give me something to do while waiting for her to really fall asleep (I tend to do my scribing while I'm reading, which is why it turns out a bit disjointed) By the time we get to that point, I should have a wireless router and an adapter, so I can do the scribing on my laptop instead of Tom's.
*reads and realizes that that only makes sense if you already know what she's talking about*
I'll be scoring tests online for the next month (just passed the training for this current project with a firm I've worked for before) and I've learned during training that I'll need to be closed into a room and not available to talk to when Faith is home (telling her that Mommy needs to concentrate/do her work works for <5 minutes at a time...) While there is a cable outlet in our bedroom, it doesn't work, so we currently can only get online from the livingroom. Plus we want to go wireless anyway--the job just makes a better justification than "It'd be"
Which reminds me--any salonistas have a router and/or a wifi adapter they'd like to sell? I'm looking on eBay, but I'd rather help out a friend, if possible.

IIEM, fresh pot of coffee, please. Oh, and you should probably brew some for the others here, as well.

If you are a bit agape at the surong I am wearing , I believe David Beckham did it once and I reckon I can pull it off . I am sure the people at the bus stop were laughing at something else ....

If you would like a shortcut to the shortcuts try googling "alt key combinations".
