OOh for the
wishes everyone. It was an odd exam today, half theory half practical. You were given discriptions of patients and a drug chart and asked to prescribe an appropriate drug. Then if the drug was intravenous you had to make it up and give it. I thought we'd be kept isolated until 11, but we haven't been, which is good!
I got that lovely familar feeling when I turned over the paper and thought 'hang on I can do this!' Though I didn't get to finish making up the IV infusion because my hands were shaking, could it be because I'd not only down a and a can of Red Bull, but taken two pro plus tablets into the bargin.
I have a written multiple choice paper this afternoon at 11 am (it's half past 10 now) and then at 2pm we go through this morning's paper and get told the answers.
* and not just because of the fact I have replaced most of my blood with caffine*
with giving up smoking some researchers on h2g2 have just started up a stopping smoking group A3407951.

Very pleased about the perfect contract - I'd be positively floating with pride if it were my boy!
I'm not scared of flying, but I AM scared of slugs, heights and enclosed spaces (Scared of slugs? Really? How bizarre - it's not Freudian is it?). I get through it by thinking very hard about something else - except the slug thing, when I get through it by screaming and running away.

Thanks for the kind words everyone I've calmed a bit in the last hour, didn't feel much like eating this morning
silly me.
With a bit of reflection, it seems that everyone here has read my mind, at least how it was when I started making this push I think I'm guilty of getting a bit over-excited and delusional about the whole thing. I was hoping the meet would give her a chance to see why we'd make such a great couple and hopefully begin to sway her feelings, as someone pointed out (didn't mean to forget your names!
). I think I'd hyped myself up for this so much that I figured this would be my only chance ever, making my friend's words last night very hurtful. I forgot that at the beginning I swore she'd be mine no matter what
so just gotta be patient.
Funnily enough, Caer, one of the appeals here is that I know EXACTLY how to make her laugh - we've got the same quirky sense of humour and over time we've ended up with a shedload of in-jokes to share. Which makes my case even stronger, if only the silly girl would understand!
And, Lil - it took a week just to get hold of the slippery tyke to arrange a day to meet but, heheheh...maybe I can plan something else soon after in time for Freddie
Thanks for your kind words everyone. Much appreciated

Welcome, Mr. Dreadful. Red, I remember seeing you here before, welcome back. And don't worry about the making sense bit, we don't always. I might even allow some dipping into the blue phlogg this year.
all around for those who can use some.
Is it my imagination or does Freddie going retrograde coincide *exactly* with the dates that Amy is spending at TSFH?

Sorry folks, but things have been so busy, I haven't been able to keep up.

Hi Mr. Dreadful. Welcome back red.
This conversation is not impenetrable. We just normally have several areas of discussion going at the same time. And sometimes refer to things discussed quite a bit earlier, which may not make sense to you until you've been here a while. Hang in there. You'll feel right at home in no time.
I'm not afraid to fly but don't go out of my way to do so. Mainly because it's such a hassle. Of course the fact that I never go anyplace anymore probably has something to do with it.
Poor TIM. Being young and handsome and witty and talented can be a trial sometimes. I'm with Lil. Wait until after Freddie retreats and then give it another try.
*biting fingernails on Z's behalf*
Marv, I can't imagine the company paying to fly you to NC if they weren't seriously interested. Try to enjoy the experience. You'll be just great.
I can't remember what else I wanted to say. I know there was something. My memory is really starting to worry me.

So we make "too much sense" AND we're "impenetrable"? You can't have it both ways!
Hypatia is right, we often make references to things that we talked about before, so picking up on those references is really just a matter of hanging around a for a while. And we have very long memories - the " dipping in blue phlogg" was referring to something about 3 or 4 years ago.
I don't think half the people that remember that are even here anymore. And half of the remaining ones have probably forgotten.

Hi and wellcome Mr. Dreadful
Brilliant scribing, Teuchter - I laughed loudly several times and disturbed Lucky on my lap. Halfway through, he had enough of the indignity and took himself high-tailed to the very still sofa cushion.
*Waves to Titania and Egon*
Good news about the son, GDZ.
Ag..., a wonderful story about the erm female accessories.
Iron Maiden, I don't think you can plan, 'force' or 'lure' someone else to fall in love with you. Of course your friend needs to be with and get to know you without distractions - i.e. one-on-one. Spend time with her and above all be yourself - and it won't harm matters if you show her how you feel. Then you have done your best. And she will have a nuanced and honest impression of you. And it is you, you want her to love, isn't it?
I love flying - like Caerwyn described so vividly.
Will check in regularily to get the latest news about Z's examens.
*Beaming with pride*
Lil for the prize.
I'm too curious not to read blog - all the informations about the life, the universe and everything of my fellow salonistas - and the gems of wisdom.
