*looks round warily for the cattle prod*
The garden has had a good soaking this afternoon, so has Cassie. H and I are in for a soaking too, as we are going swimming providing he gets home at a reasonable time (7.30ish).

Ben, you spelt my name wrong in your notes
Am looking forward to an evening where I don't have to go out and water the garden.
I didn't get a chance to make the bean burgers for the bbq at the weekend, things just got too busy and hectic in all the preparations. I will try them one evening this week though, as they sound great

Stuff
I've just spent a horrific afternoon videotaping my consultantations (yes the patients all gave written permission first) which will only be surpassed by the horror that 'learning from them' tomorrow. I will as always appear fat and camp. And we will all sit around in a circle too shy to critise each other.
Amsterdam
My favourite Aunt Electra lives in Amsterdam, she runs her own business there and has done for some years. I've visited a few times and it's a wonderful place. She's a slightly built woman, and still feels safe walking through the streets late at night - the main hazard is Brits on Stag nights.
The whole country seems to have a sensible mature attitude to life and things.
GDZ, I've commented on it.. it's a good entry, and I'll be glad to see it in the guide.
I've brought an electic fan, my flat is bearable to live in again

What you mean 'g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s'? Just calling it how I find it, my dear!

*tiptoes in, looking nervous due to rumours of a cattle prod, fervently hopes that there'll be no quiz with all the topics from the - brilliant - opening summary*
Hmmm - should that rather be 'opening ceremony'?

Opening Ceremony is pretty apt.

s in to new thread and catches-up with y'all
I've found a very addictive site - http://www.jigzone.com - managed to beat the average time for today's puzzle.
How sad is that?
I've always wanted to go the the Netherlands to eat really great Indonesian food. I'm told the 'rice table' is a fabulous sort of buffet and well worth trying.
Caer and I should get some sleep tonight - at opposite ends of the Hog's Back. It's been bucketing down for a few hours and seems a little cooler at last.
I've been spared the nightly ritual of going out to water the beans while presenting myself as a moving sacrifice to assorted mozzies and midgies.
to those with job applications pending.
Mr T has just over a fortnight left at his place of employment and is spending most of his time going to seminars on interview technique/cv writing/financial planning etc.
They're letting him keep the car until Christmas - shows just how scared they are of a Constructive Dismissal Suit! Pah!
*waves to MR - How're you doing? I've missed your postings in their absence

Hey, what silly photographs? I think we should all be shown and have an opportunity to judge for ourselves.
Second call! Scribe needed to take notes on current conversation.

(Large aquatic creature enters the Atelier, leaving a damp trail. Upon closer examination, it turns out to be Ormondroyd).
Any chance of a , Chloe? Sorry about the carpet, Lil. It's just a trifle damp in the other dimension I inhabit.
I saw a great picture of myself tonight, taken yesterday when I was wearing the pantomime cow's head. It looked terrific - the head went very well with the anti-McDonalds T-shirt I was wearing. But it does make me feel a bit worried about all this talk of a cattle prod...

It is definitely cooler, but still very humid, but I feel knackered from our swim so, hopefully, I will sleep well.
Cassie has her v-e-t appointment at 8.30 am on Thursdy morning, so I shall have to keep her in until I take her to the surgery. She can be exceedingly vocal and will make her views known on not being allowed out after brekkie. I am not looking forward to it and may well have to distract myself from the thought by a little retail therapy tomorrow
