Yes, Fred?
What's a cackleberry?

Stick with "hung", Tartaronne. "Hanged" is kind of old fashioned and specifically refers to being hanged by the neck until you are dead.

STRANGELY STRANGE ( A brain on a spring ) Posted Sep 16, 2006
At 12.50am this morning I was woken up by a loud bang and horrendous screaming, blood curdling screams you only hear if someone has cut off a limb and heard my neighbors voice crying for around 10 seconds and people rushing around. I was just about to jump up and call an ambulance, then everything went silent and I heard furniture being moved and realised it was some sort of micro dream that happend as the bang of my downstairs neighbour moving furniture around woke me up.
It was so realistic and shocking I couldn't get back to sleep for half an
hour! I simply have never experienced something as realistic as that when it wasn't at all.

I know Global warming - it was bad enough last time when we lost that bit of land between Newcastle and Norway, but at least then the apes were more mobile and there was plenty of other land to move to. If you had a hut you could build it again in a day.
*shakes head sangely in way that only an accidently immortal pacyderm can*
Looks slightly depressed, knowing that certain humans will only realise that global warming happens when they're trying to cram rather too many of them onto the high parts.

Woolly, I promise that I (and probably all the Salonistas are as well) am very much aware of global warming, and very frustrated with the world leaders who either pretend it's not happening or shrug and carry on as before.
My housemate got a promotional 15min DVD for the London production of Lord of the Rings today. It looks very interesting, but I doubt I'll be able to afford a ticket when it opens in a few months. The music side of things is fascinating - a blend of Scandinavian and Indian styles.

Strangely, your neighbors were moving furniture at 1 in the morning??
Does anyone have any mail? I'm on my way to the post office in an hour and a half, to work.

*comes right back in, having decided, on a whim, to get some fresh vegetables from the hydroponics setup in one of the greenhouses*
*dumps some carrots, spring onions and swiss chard on the butlers hatch* I found a newcomer wandering around in the greenhouses and thought I better lead them back up here. *looks around* Watch for an optical illusion carrying a bag of lettuce.
*heads back down the stairs*

Yep, was 1am and moving furniture around!
.
Just got back my photos of the ones of the modern buildings. Although I think I should trust the exposure meter in my camera more, I am glad I took so many. The ones in the recess I mentioned have thankfully turned out as good as I had hoped. I have been looking to find a set of 3 0r 4 pics I could use as a set to do as a display and the recess ones will do the job as although they each is slightly differant with the zoom set at differant settings, the colour and exposure is uniform throughout, and due to change in zoom setting, they have the appearance
of a building moving away, or the windows getting smaller.
The other others of the blocks of flats(apartments) are ok too, however I took 2 pics of a Victorian church steeple, both with the railings as the forground, they are quite pleasing too. I like Victorian churches in UK as they have that slightly Gothic appearance and lots of detail in a slightly castle way. However, I have noticed that churches which appear to have been built around the 1930s-1950s
appear to have a boxy plain and frankly dull appearance, like the utilitarian furniture built just after second world war, there will be exceptions of course, but it is what I have noticed. I also like the peace and calm of churches especially in busy towns, although not a church goer myslf. The gardens are normally quite well planted as well.

Have I missed the post run? It turns out that a previous occupant of the New Nest had not paid his bills and I'm having a devil of a job convincing the debt collection agents that I am not responsible. They are trying to intimidate me .
I'm sorry I haven't been around but I've been away at conferences and had a major deadline to meet yesterday - which I met with all of five minutes to spare . One more busy week and things should settle down. Hopefully I'll be getting the office to myself soon and then I can be an at work without worrying people.
How is everyone?
