The eclipse was only a flop for those who don't like eclipses. If you are one of these people, then I feel sorry for you, and I would like an answer to why the eclipse was a flop. If you thought it was a success, then I congratulate you for being so clever. I would like to know what you think of the eclipse, and, tell me why if you were stupid enough to think the world will end, just because it got dark in the middle of the day. If you are one of these, I'm sorry to tell you but there will be eclipses in the future. I feel extra sorry for you if you live until 2090. Meanwhile, I will book my place to Israel for the total eclipse of 2006. WHO'S WITH ME????

Isn't anyone going to reply to my postings? Who is coming with me to Israel in 2006 to see the eclipse? If so, please reply! Thankyou!

Okay I'll add something to your posting. I agree with you that eclipses don't foretell anything. What I can't get over is how amazingly unlikely they are in the first place. Have a nice time in Israel they have some amazing history bundled up with religon.

Unfortunatly, according to Fred Espenak (asronomer, and has his own website on eclipses, not h2g2), there is no total eclipse in Israel in 2006, but there is a partial one, about 85%. Oh well, I'll go there anyway. Sometime, I WILL get in the path of totality, and no-one is going to stop me. BTW, did you know we're about 2 weeks away from a total eclipse of the moon? UK time you have to be awake from 3 a.m. until 6:25 a.m. on January 21st, weather permitting to see it. I think the USA will see it, but at an earlier time. That's cool!
