Hmm. I'm sitting on the fence. Whatever conflict is between Jinx and Lisa almost certainly does not warrant dragging everyone else in. And I'm not taking sides, since I have known them both to be incredibly nice people.

*pops head in doorway, looking around and seeing the faces present, steps inside and clears throat... calm, except for the constant knotting and unknotting of the belt of the trench coat*
.... um... just popping in before i go on leave... thought it would be better to apologize now, rather than let it sit til i get back.
To all three of you, and my fellow angels, i apologize. I saw the humor in the situation not even a minute after i hit the "post" button. you did not deserve my unkindness...
and in truth, it wasn't you that inspired it, but rather the fact that the rest of my life hinges on the next two days. a bit too much pressure, and i hadn't realized how bad it had gotten.
Jinx, i'll take cut's word on it. sorry.
Halo, please don't let me scare you away. in reality, i'm only human. besides, with that name, you almost HAVE to be an angel.
Mummy, you too. it's actually quite cool that only on h2g2 will you find an ffff member that's an angel... really, i'm sorry.
ok all... enough blubbering. i'm off to study. wish me well, because seriously, if i don't get "A"s on all of these finals, i'm not getting into vet school!
Bye!
T.A.Z*.
*wanders out cradling a gallon of Lazarus' Pick-Me-Up Tonic.*
*feeling very repentant... and slightly more angelic!

Dear GOD ,
As I don't take offense from people bearing the Christian symbol, I also expect them not to take offense from the fact that I'm an Atheist. 'Live and let live' is my motto, and that includes the freedom to choose whatever religion, or to pass on religion altogether. I'm not making fun of the faithful, unless they make fun of me.
The title that I chose, 'PS of the monsters of your worst nightmares', clearly refers to my name 'The Mummy', which, as an undead being, is one of the most horrible nightmares of man, regardless of his religion. In my opinion, as an atheist, it would even be fair to be a 'PS of the Non-believers' or a 'PS of the faithless'. However, I decided that that would be to obvious a mock towards the believers.
My application for Angel-status WAS based on the fact that I would answer C to all of the questions on your application test, and would thus qualify as a helpful person. I don't see what that's got to do with religion, because atheists ALSO have a heart, and care for others. They are not totally void of feeling.
However, since my application appears to polarise people on the issue, and is clearly subject to questions about my sincerity, I think I better revoke the application. Regardless of the remark that I would be welcome, I should have kept with my original feeling, that it wouldn't be proper for me to apply anyway. At that time I really was only jesting, as should have been obvious from the 's in that posting.
Let's pretend I never applied. I think that would be best for all of us.
Greetings to all the Angels,
The Mummy.

Due to the above exchanges, I thought it would be a good idea to start another thread early...

Also, our newest saint has been inducted over at MY private study, where we will soon decamp for the Wings Bar...
So see you there...
Thanks

OK THAT'S IT.
Who are you to chose you I do or do not like? Do you think I chose to hate Lisa so much that I spend every minute of my spare time at school haunting the back corridors so as to avoid her? Do you think I chose to hate Lisa so much that if I spend too long in the same room as her then I just want to hit her and scream and scream? Do you think I chose to have her laughter following me everywhere? Do you think I chose to be cursed with this kind of hate?!
I'd switch schools, I'd run away, I'd kill myself just to be rid of her and to be rid of myself.
I don't know what I want. I have this feeling that I want to be different from who I am or who I want to be. Really I'm the wrong person in the wrong body. There are so many things I could do...
If I was an entirely different person.

If you were an entirely different person, I would certainly love you less, sweetheart. Thank some unknown being, you're you!
