Traveller in Time smiley - tit on his head
"Never met a vibrating snail, though I have heard them making noise often.

Snails have a radula, a file-like tongue with wich they grind their food (leaves). On occsasion large parts of plant material make something of an acoustic amplifier.

The only other method for snails to make sound is breathing bubbles. The breathing opening can be partially obscured by their 'slime' wich would give some plopping sounds.

No vibrations as far as I concider, their muscle movement is too slow for actual shaking movements."

Traveller in Time smiley - tit updating in the line 'not too weird' as the main thread suggests
"Snails do not have ears, so it would be of no use for them to call a mating partner. They taste each others trail to find an appropriate date. "
