Many years ago, when Woody Allen was hardly known in the UK,
he appeared an a chat show and seemed out of his depth.
At one point he declared, in his depressed anti humour way,
that the highlight of his week had been
"I stubbed my toe"
To which Spike Milligan immediately retorted
"I never knew you smoked it"
Is this more or less depressing than Marvin ?
