Yeah, I do. My boss is coming back from vacation Wednesday and will want us there all weekend to scan slides.

well, the offer of a lift to a meet, providing it's not in Wuppertal or anywhere near that, is open.

I've never actually made a meet before. I went to a tiny mini-meet just after Easter (Koblenz) and ended up in hospital. Which is why the Gruesomes are reluctant to let me go to another without them.

I started to feel uncomfortable late in the day, by the time Lucky Star and ReddyFreddy had gone, I was having sort of chest pains and put it down to wind and indigestion and excitement.

Put TC on the train, and got on the trin to Köln. From Köln I got on my next train, but only got as far as Frechen - and thought I was having a heart attack. Everyone was very nice, they stopped the train and got me an ambulance - even though the delay meant a fair few people must have missed connections.

Ended up in Frechen hospital for 2 days, in a room with 2 old biddies who thought I was 18 (!) and sent and the Gruesomes away first time they turned up becase I "couldn't be married at my age"

Turns out I have a hernia. Which is flaring up again so I need to go back to hospital. Sigh

Eeep! That sounds decidedly unpleasant, especially the old biddies

Oh Sho, sosorry to hear that. Btw, did TC contact you ? We thought that maybe the three of us could meet up easier than all of us, and Koblenz would obviously be the place which is about the same distance for all of us, but you could come to frankfurt ,too, if you don't mind driving. Maybe we could even 'park' the girls with my sons - they love little girls

Well if it would be *that* far I'd have to fly I think... maybe that would even be cheaper than the train.

If you wanted to come for the Symposium, Tav, we need to get them to meet near here around that time

It depends on uni, I'd like to come, but I have no idea what I'll have to do

As I said, bring lots of friends! (I can fit 3-5 more people in here if they don't mind all sharing a room and some sharing a bed) Your Uni will be getting a poster or two anyway (I'll have to make them and get them printed and put them in envelopes first, with the other PA) and then you can tell your profs you want to go there and point at it - some of your profs may be coming anyway!

I don't think that I know anybody who'd come with me and I don't think that'll change withing 2 months or so. But thanks for offering it.
