Discovering outdoor sports when I was 40; camping, walking, bicycling,
trekking, etc.

Although I hadn't slept well since I was 34, I still got a dream;
to walk the Pyrenees mountains.

Well, I did, in 1985; a solo walk; half the Pyrenees.

I dwelled in silence, beauty, inspiring solitude.

And I found my pride, because I had found such a digninfying, uplifting enviroment.


To all of you; follow your own dreams, because there you find heaven, befóre you die. (according to an old Spanish song).

Good for you! A nice area to pick as well. Did you do the HRP (Pyreneen High Route) or the GR (long distance footpath)?

I could not take the High Route; not enough experience ánd I wanted to sleep in small hotels, so I had not too much weight carrying around.(still 8 kilo with me)
A lot of puzzling to plan, beacause I wanted to stay at the official low route.GR 10.

So I walked the official walking Route and it became in my heart a love forever, although I do not have the condition to finish it.(poor sleep for years on end)

It is great, inspiring, uplifting, strenghtening,healing, discovering, learning and enjoying; all together.
