A Conversation for The Church Of Weekendism

Father Dan, as a potential convert to Weekendism, I have a question about the sanctity of Fridays. I am in English at York U, and in my English tutorial today we had a discussion, concluding with the idea that Saturday was indeed a holy day, but that although Sunday was certainly a part of the Weekend, it was also a time where students and labourers would be forced to remember the spiritual poverty they must endure from M*nd@y until the next weekend. We thought perhaps, as many students not fortunate enough to have gotten fridays off of class, choose to rebel against the pressures of an irreligious society - taking the day off anyways - Friday ought to be the student's Sabbath. I was just wondering what the church thinks of that. No hurry to get back... you will probably get this on Friday anyway, and Sod-all knows thou shalt not stress out on a friday.
Also, I wanted to ask you about being my Guardian Angel - I feel in need of some guidance concerning my over-stressing and procrastination.
ANyway, I have an essay that was sort of due yesterday, and if I don't get down to it now, I'll be working on Friday... gotta go.
Later.
Lady K

Well, as much as I like taking Fridays off, there's nothing wrong with taking Monday-Thursday off as well.
And of course, I'd be happy to take you on as a Guardee, as well as accept you into the Church of Weekendism.

So true, so true. I don't know if I'll ever reach your level of 'sod-all-ity' but thanks for taking me in
so i think you said you're a student? when you perchance fall into some study, what is your academic subject of interest?

Sorry it took so long to respond. This thread got pushed off my list and I missed it. It's been a busy couple of days.
First year comp sci is great. Of course, it only gets harder from here....
As for Star Trek, I never saw much of the original series, so I can't really call myself a fan. The rest of it is pretty good, though.

No problem. I understand about busy days. What's really nice is busy days when your computer is playing head-games with you, and your modem is playing hide-and-seek with the server. AAHHHH MIDTERMS! Actually, it's more the stress midterms are inflicting on everyone around me than on me. Mine are rather nicely spread out.
You're kinda like me then - I have seen maybe 15 episodes tops of the original. The rest though I have seen most of. The last one (Voyager that is) was a bit of a surprise - I wasn't expecting the 'big event' to happen so soon and be downplayed so much.
So about how many hours do you have a week in comp sci? My eng sci friends are bitter with my English self for having 11 hours to their 27
