Not only is the N.T a long, way from anywhere else but is very hot and wet. Which can be good and bad! It also has insects 3 to 4 times the size of normal, for instance the Cockroaches are 6 inches long have wings and in some instances have been known to flock together and carry away pets and small children.

Well when I finally get time to travel this great country of ours, I think I might just bypass the NT. Pity though as it has some of the loveliest scenery I have ever seen (only through calendars and on TV).

If you are silly enough to by-pass this unique part of the world you will miss out on so many wonderful experiences, like the Gibb River Road. Only seeing can be believing.

My dear Garibaldi I wouldn't for one minute sujest that you by-pass the Territory just that you excercise caution whilst you are there. It does infact have some of the finest scenery in the land but it also has the hungriest man-eating crocodiles around!

Well should I ever get money to spend on a holiday, I will make an effort to get to NT. I love watching documentries on TV about it.
As for the crocodiles, I know what you mean, I used to live in North Queensland. They may not be as big, but they were scarey enough

actually, the gibb rover road is in Western Australia, but it is a bit of WA which is quite similar to the NT.
so we must ask, why did they put two bits of the world that are so similar right next to each other?
they should have put them on opposite sides of the world, that way more people could get to see them.

My theory is, God is an Australian. He knew that the Europeans would discover it after they had discovered all the other continents. He wanted to make sure that they would want to stay, so he made Australia such a lovely and diverse country...
Ah I can't keep crapping on, it's just that the people who drew up the boarders didn't care.

I thought it was a known fact that God was an Australian. Or was that Australians are Gods? Anyway I reckon the reason that W.A and the Northern Territory are next to each other are so that I could get here easier. Even if I didn't travel along the Gibb River road.

Yeah well, when I get a license, and a car, and time, and money, I will take a trip around this great land, but until then I should do some work.
