Great entry, but a couple of errors

Great entry, but you should probably give some credit to James Clarke of 'Stoep Talk' and Rawbone Malonge of 'Ah Big Yaws' fame for first coming up with the idea. Also spell 'Kak' correctly. 'Eitha' is spelled and pronounced 'heita'.

I also fail to see the connection between marmite and peanut butter, but maybe thats just me.

Overall a good artical with some hilarious bits.
Some others to include:

'Naught/s my bru/china'

'robot' as in traffic light

'bliksem'

'mampoer'

'babalas'

and 'Jozi'

Glad to see someone so in love with SA, I adore the place.

Personally never heard of James Clerk or rawbne (what an interesting name) and have never heard eitha pronounced "heita" - its more like ay-t-ha - and I hear the word at least once daily so I would remember if i'd heard it with an "h" - but you certainly seem to feel you know a whole bunch of things I cannot relate to at all.

the original idea of this posting was from an e-mail that circulated on brittish/american words - so I felt I'd like to do one for South Africans. I love the place too - have never concidered living anywhere else.

I will certainly look at including the rest of the list however - they are interesting words that might amuse so thanks for those.

Oh and PS - Kuc or KuK or cuck has a variety of spellings - but these days is most definately spelled with a "u" and pronounced so too. As in "cuckold" - without the "old" - it may once have been annother way - but I really do only ever remember it being "cuck".
