"Ek smaak jou stukkend" - spelling aside This means literally 'I like you broken' now all the wierd connotations of that aside it translates into 'I like you a lot'. I don`t know anyone personally who has used this as a pick-up line, but apparently it must have been used as it has stuck around.

Yes that's a fabulous addition - there could be a whole section on those types of litterally non-sensical addages.

Shot - this is used as in an exclamation of joy/thanks i.e "Here is your pap from the braai" to which you reply "shot bru!"

Marmite (look at the picture on the jar and you can pronounce it properly - i.e. a French cooking vessel) originated in Burton-on-Trent as a clever way of getting rid of all the waste products (well the yeast) from the breweries.
It doesn't exist in Morocco even though they brew beer here.smiley - ale

"Shot" has more or less been replaced by "sharp" for some reason. You still hear it occasionally (in Pretoria smiley - smiley) but elsewhere - "Sharp Bru" would be the politically correct response (followed thereafter by "Eitha!" - which just puts the cherry on the top.

Marmite is an awfull gunk but enduringly popular with kids so - what do you do? smiley - smiley
