You're one of the seemingly few people who seem to see what Moore is beyond the usual 'Moore knocks Bush, Moore must be good' I've often heard especially regarding his Stupid White Men book.

Well, yeah - but then again at the risk of sounding glib and melodramatic, Moore may be a rampaging unbalanced main-chancing smear-merchant, but at least he's a left-of-centre rampaging unbalanced main-chancing smear-merchant. Also that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I may not like the way he makes his points, but there's nobody else making them at all.

Surely it's worse to have the points in just a negative way than them not being said?

Hearing a point made badly is still better than not hearing it at all. And frankly, given the right-wing bias in the US media I suspect it'd take an approach like Moore's to get these issues on the radar at all.

At least get them through the radar.
