This is a special week. It is not common for everyone to pick up a winner on the same game, which we all did with Chelsea. But it is even rarer is for no-one to pick up any points at all on a game. This comes as a great surprise to all, especially Big Sam of Bolton. Oh who would have thought it
So how did we all do?
Well I saw a great game if you’re a neutral. Only trouble is - I’m not a neutral in this case, so I saw the 3-3 at Bramall Lane as two points dropped and not as an exciting game of football
So what about Fantasy Football then?
The results show that Ormy and DD are still locked into their titanic battle at the top of the table. Both Riotact and Bottletop slipped up slightly this week, and McKay’s challenge now seems to be fading. On the other hand Yakusmaximus has had another quietly good week and is up to 5th place, although I fear that this is probably too late to challenge for the title.
Despite all these fun and games, none of the above won this week. That honour goes to young Tobbot who has been quietly rising through the ranks after a very late start to the season (week 5 or 6 wasn’t it?) and with his 10 points for this week is now up to 16th and one point ahead of Master B who has been here since day one
Well done young man, a future champion in the making perhaps
------------
The Results:
Bolton 0-1 Portsmouth (De ZEEUW)

Yes you did Meisere. So that's an extra 2 points to you, and I'll update the table immediately.
Sorry about that, I'm a bit tired right now, so that's why I missed it

had owt changed then in sheff ??,,,on praise or grumble some blades not happy,,but yer on fringe of play offs,,maybe we'll play u lot nxt year ??...

Some Blades are NEVER happy, so I wouldn't pay much attention to the Praise or Grumble show Not that I can pay any attenetion to it even if I wanted to. The radio waves just don't make it this far South.
No, what I think is lacking is a sense of confidence at home. Some of the performances have not been great. Well ok, the majority haven't been great if the truth be told. And this is leading to a nervous atmosphere in the stands which gets reflected back in the quality of the play. The net result being we draw against the likes of Gillingham and nearly lose, then throw away a victory against Wolves.
All of this comes in stark contrast to the Blades away performances. We've garnered far more points away, indeed I think we're one of the best in the league away. Some of the peformances have been fantastic. QPR, Gillingham and Derby were exercises in total domination. Even the defeat at Leicester showed that we could come back from three jammy goals down to threaten for a victory.
I don't know what the answer is. I think that scoring three today is a step in the right direction as we've had too many ones and zeros so far this season. I guess we will see in the fullness of time.
As for your goodselves. Well, you seem to be on something of a roll right now, and good on ya for that As is well known I absolutely loathe and detest your team. But deep down I wish them no real ill, as to wish the worst for them is to wish the worst on a part of my City, and that can only be a bad thing.
Will you get out of this league this year? I don't hand on heart think that you will. The gap to automatic promotion is already too wide to be bridged, and to survive a play-off campaign requires nerves of steel that I don't think that you've got. Though what I will say is that I think that you are moving in the right direction for once, and that you will not get relegated, as I did believe that you could do just a month or so back.

Are you referring to the 'Grumble or Grumble Even More' show on BBC Radio Sheffield, GD?
Missed this week again 'cos I got wasted on Friday night - I think that's the third or fourth time this season, I really must get in the habit of making my predictions early in the week.

GreyDesk Posted Nov 28, 2004
Yes that's the one. I've never heard it. When I am in Sheffield I can't pick up the show on the car radio, as it doesn't work any longer. And when I listen to games on the radio at home, the service is coming via the Blades website, and cuts off a few minutes after the game is over.

"Some of the peformances have been fantastic. QPR, Gillingham and Derby were exercises in total domination."
Even LEEDS beat QPR. Not only did the piss-poor LEEDS team beat QPR 6-1, BRIANE "couldn't hit a cow's arse with it's tail" DEANE scored FOUR.

Yes, and then you went and drew 2-2 at home against Watford. So I'm thinking that you got QPR on a bit of an off day for them, and something not really indicative of their position in the league table.
True it did sort out your goal difference problems rather nicely.

I had a great weekend first Livi won 3-1 to lift them off the bottom of the SPL if opnly for 24 hours. The Neil Mellor got the winner at Anfield and I'm still top of the league here too. Woohoo!!!

Ah righty-ho. I see what you're on about.
That site is azahar's 'h2g2 Friends' thingy. And jolly good it is too
I'm not sure how long that photo has been up on her site, a few months at least. If I remember correctly it was taken at the London winter meet back in January. It was the same day that Peschisolido scored a hat trick in the Blades 3-0 demolition of Gillingham at their Priestfield home, and I missed it
