I think this is pretty informative and accurate. The only things I suggest including might be:
1. Specific examples of successful PSA's and how their success was measured.
2. Examples or a mention of PSAs in world markets (by world I mean not America or UK).
I also think that the subject of how PSAs are given priority or the ways in which messages are mediated by government and/or network people is really interesting and worth being addressed. At least, this article made me think about that. Way to go! I like PSAs and a I made an audio one in college. PSAs have the opportunity to be a refreshing break from the constant consumer marketing that normally fills the airways. They have the freedom to be edgy and in-your-face as well. My current favorite is a hybrid PSA/commercial for the ONE campaign. (www.one.org)
