Alien Posted Mar 27, 2000
I was planning to organize a trip to the home world of mine or something but since you've already set up a journey and have an exact unknown destination, I'll probably leave for the other journey later... If RR:s ship is big enough for me to join too, that is... But where is he??
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
GreeboTCat Posted Mar 27, 2000
He'll be here shortly me expects... kinda slow our Rocket Rod... until he gets going that is... then he's like a shooting star....

Hi guy's. Sorry I'm late (time differences and work commitments). So wellcome aboard Star Ship GRI-GRI (means good luck charm). We have all mod cons including automatic do-nut dispensers and an auto-bar (not sirius cybernetics). I hope the decor is pleasing it's sort of beach-comber delux. Our drive is a new version of the venerable Infinite Improbability system using a cold can of Vic Bitter instead of a cup of tea. So make your selves comfortable on the assorted furniture, cushions, beach-towels etc. Light the blue touch-paper, enter any random number, and away we go.

This is a comfy ship indeed... I've got a suggestion for a random number - have you visited 42 yet??
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
Rocket Rod Posted Mar 27, 2000
42 it is! Not sure exactly where it will take us, but with an intrepid, relaxed and extremely cool crew I'm sure it will be fun. If you noticed the exterior as you ported in, you may have been intrigued by it's similarity to an over-sized power boat, that's coz I like boats, beaches and bars. Speaking of which I really must port over to the Cheshire Grin for a quick drink. Back soon.

is anyone coming out to aldebaran? if anyone is I would appreciate pulling their craft down into the murky swampball that I have been on for the past few millenia so that I may use it to escape. rest assured your craft will not be harmed in my actions. I just want to get out the local cuisine starts to get boring after the first few decades and no one delivers so...

GreeboTCat Posted Mar 27, 2000
Hey Rod... whilst you are over there... can you get me a glass of milk please... ~grin~
Hi Hastur... nice name that... hmm me will ask Rod if we are going anywhere near you... ok...
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
hastur Posted Mar 27, 2000
ok thank you. oh by the way ignore any yellow signs on the way here...
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
GreeboTCat Posted Mar 28, 2000
~Greebo quickly flicks through her 'Acme Interstellar Road Signs Of The Known Galaxies Handbook' and discovers that yellow signs tend to mean danger...~
Er... what are these yellow signs hastur?
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
Rocket Rod Posted Mar 28, 2000
Changing course for Aldebaran to rescue hastur. Firing up the random number generator, here we go! One big glass of milk for Greebo, I do hope you're comfortable. Please be careful around that stack of coconuts in the corner (they're actually secret weapons). By the way, what's this about yellow signs? Some sort of danger?
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
Alien Posted Mar 28, 2000
Yellow is a pretty colour... Can't be anything threatening... (famous last words...)
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
Rocket Rod Posted Mar 28, 2000
Hmmmmm! I think we should prepare the coconut cannon, just in case of hostilities. I seem to recall an episode of Danger Mouse where he had trouble on a custard planet, we shall proceed with caution! But please remain cool & intrepid, as I know you all are. Drinks will be served in the beach bar amidships.

ahh the yellow signs, uhh just don't look at them or if in fact you do look away quickly. not only will they fail to lead you to aldebaran but they (the signs, not the person who posted or created them) have been known to bring various forms of insanity upon the gazer (which is one who gazes). but as i say just keep them in the corner of your eye and do not focus on them, that should keep your eggs from getting scrambled. do arrive soon. are the coconuts just for amunition?
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
Rocket Rod Posted Mar 29, 2000
Hmmmm! These yellow signs sound like they're related to the infamous windoze warnings, we must take care! Coconuts have many uses, ammunition being but one, they can also be eaten and the milk is quite refreshing (specially with rum). Combined with a big dash of fresh lime juice it can really make BBQ'd fish delicious. We also have a large stock of mango's, banana's, pineapple's and other tropical fruit (for both eating and ammunition). So what should we expect on Aldebaran in the way of a reception.

Alien Posted Mar 29, 2000
It's good to know we've got enough tropical ammunition, but do we have shovels? I sure hope we've got shovels...
Rod & Greebz journey into the unknown...
Rocket Rod Posted Mar 29, 2000
Shovels? Hmmm. Yep got a couple of those (having been bogged once or twice before). Do you expect we'll need them? If possible I'd rather set down on a nice lake or ocean, if there are any. In the mean time have a nice ripe mango. Seen any of those yellow signs yet?

Urgent message to hastur. Prepare for rapid retrieval! I have just heard on the sub-ether band that the Space Centre and GREEBO are in danger. All weapons loaded, cloaking device (some-one elses problem field) engaged. You will be ported to a secure area (the boat shed). We will return to the space centre at six pack speed. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please relax and enjoy the flight. WE'RE COMING GREEBO!!!
