Terrible game me remembers... the flash as the ball zipped by moving more rapidly than a snail on heat... Hmmm... if indeed snail comes into heat... not that me actually wants to find out the answer to that question... so forget me ever said it ok...

~As in all cats... our heroine possessessesssessss (oppss sorry have trouble trying to stop spelling that word... tis as bad as banananananana) the cunning senses of her species... her titanium tipped claws slip slowly from their velvet sheaths and she grins slowly in her sleep... not the grin of laughter but the wicked grin of gleamingly sharp fangs reading themselves for fun...~

...the broken wind drifts up the chimney and travels above the chimney pots and rooftops toward Mary Poppins, who is gliding along on the thermals from the motor traffic far below. She is conversing with the parrot head on the handle of her unfurled bumbershoot.
"Dear Lord, I hope the next family of wee bairns isn't as bad as that last lot... What in heaven's name is a Telly-Tubby? They kept pointing to that odd box with the glass front... Wait a second..."
"Something's in the wind, Mary!", said the parrot head.
Mary looked around, sniffed and said,"There may be, but it's nothing I want any part of it. It smells like Bert on a Saturday night..."
"Oh, yessh. I see what you mean. Like old soot and burnt pudding... with a dash of fried rat thrown in..."
As Mary turned and skidding upwind of the odd smell, she admonished her umbrella handle gently,"Eee-yewww! Don't be so gross, you old nert!"
Meanwhile, a curious linnet wings into the small dense miasmic cloud and suddenly looses the use of all it's guidance systems. Seconds before it hits the pavement, it is knocked from the air by a cross-town bus.
