A Conversation for Elite

I seem to recall something called Elite on my old C64. What I remember most about that is the autopilot landing sequence where some god-awful midi version of "An der schönen blauen Donau" started playing as soon as you hit the Auto-landing key on the keyboard.
That is, of course if you had had enough money to buy the auto landing apparatus.
Am I right, or is that a totally different game?

The thing I remember the most, except that awful midi when in autolanding, is the trouble I had loading it. I only got it after our disk drive for the C-64 started going bad and didn't want to load anything. You could try loading something 5-50 times without getting anything from it, and then, when you changed to another game cause you were tired of trying, it would run on the first try. Really weird disk drive, that was.
I do miss the old C-64 though. it had some classic games. Mars Saga, for instance. Another really difficult game that you could play for hours and hours without getting anywhere...
