Summer Haiku
Part 3
Saddle leather creaks
Musk of horsehide fills the air
On a riding trail
Breeze blows through your hair
Billows the mane of a strong
Steed in full gallop
Rhythm of hoof beats
Clatters across stony ground
Echoes up the hills
Low rolling thunder
Brown and black bodies surging
Stallions run the plains
Umber eyes gaze deep
Conveying trust in your care
Ere cantering home
