FairlyStrange

At the risk of polluting this grand DM Forum....I must reply to this...

To quote 'Nonnie..."Agony Aunt arranged electrons thusly"smiley - winkeye.....
*By the way, why is your name Fairly Strange and you sign off as NM?*

Fairly Strange is what most folks in real life consider me.....and "Mostly Harmless" was already taken when I came to H2G2.

*What makes you Fairly Strange and does it have anything to do with the NM at the end of your posting?*

Well, the one to ask as to why I'm Fairly Strange is Monsy(if you haven't run across her....I'm amazed!LOL...but if you haven't you can get to her from my page). Yes....the NM comes from the fact that I am....fairly strange, and can be game for anything....on occasion!smiley - winkeye

Now...GreyRose...go to the vidiostore!....let me know if they have anything! If nothing else, maybe mine can order it if yours has it!!!!smiley - smiley

Agony Aunt (Patron Saint of Busy Bodies )

i am beginning to think that the NM signature at the end of your name is a guarded secret that many are curious about. i have had the pleasure of meeting monsy and must say her page is quite interesting smiley - smiley.
now, let us return to dangermouse before i find myself in trouble before i have made it through my first week smiley - winkeye....if you happen to find a dangermouse video you have more luck than i do, have not seen one in quite some time even though i have looked quite hard smiley - sadface

I looked at my video store and they didn't have it. I thought that thye might, because they have been open since like 1983 and have a lot of old videos. I'm going to look other places too. I haven't given up yet!

I have a video shop near me that stocks original copies of old films to rent. If they didn't have a DM video then nobody would. Just my luck, they don't have any DM smiley - sadface

I'm going to see if I can order anything from Blockbuster.

Hey everyone! Loving the new thread. It's impossible to get DM in the video store, like it's impossible to find anything pre-1982. Sounding bitter? Me?

I have a video store that I can try. They have tons of old movies, and really hard to find stuff. A friend of mine swears by that place. I'm gonna try to get out there this weekend.

You know, I have no decent video stores near me.
For a film freak it's very depressing.
Ah well, the town I've got my eye on for uni has one. I'll just have to wait for that.

I have four video stores each within a five minute drive from my house. One of them has just been built and I haven't been there yet.

Tweetie-about sounding American, I thought Mike A was American for a while. I don't know why, maybe it's on account of him being 'very metal'! smiley - winkeye

It's cos I'm a pop culture junkie. I absorb everything I hear. Very little that comes out of my mouth is original, most of it is just paraphrased quoting *sigh*.

I heard that, GR!!!

Apparently, ther are loads of video shops where I live. But I've only seen three. Like I said, the one that stocks old stuff doesn't have DM, and I haven't tried ordering from Blockbuster yet. smiley - sadface

Like it says on the page, there may be DM video getting rereleased soon. And I'll look around for them in Australia, when I go there.

Oh cool! Australia? Where? I'd love to go there, almost as much as NY. My grandparents went there a couple of years ago and reckon they'd take me if my parents weren't so hyper-overprotective *sigh*

Many places, but mainly around Perth and Brisbane. I know we'll be seeing at least one or two nearby islands too.
It is a very nice place, if only it wasn't so hot and didn't have spiders *^_^*.

Yich, spiders. Hate those things. I mean I can clear up small rodent corpses lwft as presents from our cats without a problem... I watched Scream and thought "They could have made this scarier"... I'm always the one yelling "MORE GORE" at the TV screen when ER's on... but spiders? Can't deal.
Weird.

Any mouse who finds time to pull a croc's teeth from it's mouth whilst in the middle of perilous danger and still manages to explain everything to Penfold won't be scared of a lickle spider.
Might have a problem with my cats though...
