It has been longer than 8 years since I last had the pleasure of an episode of the great DM!
When I last saw it, I did not own a VCR....so I have no video tapes. It was a "must watch" for my son and me. Now it's been so long I can't remember what happened in any of the episodes! I need a refreasher course!

Sheesh man, I can only really remember the tune of the intro, and what Dangermouse looked like. And Penfold. And his boss. I think that's it.
This is silly. I've almost totally forgotten about one of the neatest cartoons around.
Refresher course for me too I think!

Yeah, I can remember what they looked like. His car as well. Who saw the episode of that cartoon Victor & Hugo, where they got the dumb little one (Hugo) to pretend to be Dangermouse's new sidekick. And he's flying the car upside down...I distinctly remember that.
And him jumping into the postbox...
To be honest, it is scary when you can list everything you remember about the cartoon in one small forum post.

I remember this episode which I think was called "The Twelve Tasks of Dangermouse" (or it could have been 4), where Greenback (that was the baddies name, wasn't it?) had captured Penfold. He made Dangermouse do however many tasks it was in the title. One of them involved this red cloud thing, which wanted chocolate.
And there was one episode, I think, where there was this monster made of soap or something. Um. And it coated Dangermouse in these fast setting soap-suds, or something like that and Dangermouse had to throw himself off a building to get them off. It ended with this shot of London covered in white foam.

Yeah, the 12 Tasks of Dangermouse. I've been to this Dangermouse website (it's up on the page) and it's bringing back memories.
Like his famous line "good grief!"
The red cloud thing...oooh I saw a picture of that. So you must be right on that point.
Hey, who remembers this episode where Greenback was pretending to be a little girl? He had these pills to sto his voice going all croaky, which happened at rather inopportune times. And he had Dangermouse helping him/her cos he managed to get fooled by the disguise...
Damn. Memory's gone.

All I remember about the show ia the theme song (which ruled!) along with the titles with bombs exploding and stuff. What Danger Mouse, Penfold, the car, and the postbox looked like. And I remember Danger Mouse's sexy voice.
After reading these posts, I can vaguely remember the thing with the soap.
That is so sad. Danger Mouse was so rad, and I can barely remember it, except that I loved it.

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Mar 12, 2000
Actually, I thought the theme tune was a bit iffy. But then, watch CITV (or whatever local children's thing you have on TV) and listen to the theme tunes on those. DM's was -individual-, like, his and his alone.
Thing is, when you've torn apart damgermouse.org (like I have) and read everything there is to read on it, it gets kinda bad. I'm left wanting more but not getting it.
Methinks a trip to http://www.amazon.co.uk is in order .

"Tis nice to see we're not alone!!!!
Being in the US, my memory of the episodes are schetchy, at best!....It's been over 10 years!
I do remember one episode where Greenback built a robot of Penfeld(at least I *think* it was a robot......mind is a little foggy on this). He used this it to infiltrate the great DM(who was, of course, totally oblivious to the difference!)
Question....What was the name of Greenbacks' pet(I think it was a caterpillar, though this is never confirmed in the show!)
Meantime, thanks for the link to DM's website....I have a feeling I'll have a new "Favorite Place" tonight!

Oh yeah! Wasn't it something like...Dangermouse and Penfold were standing in a street...Penfold suddenly became very 'unreactive' aka wasn't moving...and then he turned into this massive robot that tried to deck Dangermouse.
I think that's the last episode I can remember
Greenback's pet was indeed a caterpillar, but I can't remember it's name...I'm sure I say it on one of the websites...nop, can't remember.
"Curses, curses!"
Hey, I had a thought. I want to put to Dangermouse pics up on the page, but can't bear the shame of theifing the bandwidth of that brilliant website. So, I'm gonna totally scour the 'net for other sites, and I'll share the results with you lot (if they're worth it).
btw how many people have read my thing in the guestbook of dangermouse.org? I suggest that everyone here go and sign it, maybe mention this page if you want.
btw again: amazon.co.uk doesn't have any Dangemouse stuff

Ah man, this is great! Slowly things are coming back to me. Happy memories, happy memories.
One of the pictures on that website...the one with Dangermouse and the crow in front of the frog. That seems oddly familier, put I just can't place it.
So I reckon I've seen the episode and this picture comes from it...not good enough really.
I'm off to sign that guestbook!

Aaagh! The server was down!
I could visit the site but couldn't post in the guestbook
Oh well, I told the webmistress, and I guess it'll be fixed by the time the rest of you read this.
I'll post when one of you lot does, just to be sure

I only remember 1 episode where they went to the Arctic for some reason. It's on tape but we haven't got a video! Boo hoo!!!!!!
I always remember Penfold would say "oooh 'eck!" I think I'll visit that Dangermouse site. I'm surprised there even is one!

That's why it should come back! We all know we like it but have forgotten watching it.
Oh and, my answerphone now has Dangermouse as the greeting. It's the one of madmanwell! "Good grief! It's mad man well! The flamenco assassin! Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole ole!......."

Jonathan: I noticed the guestbook was down as well. I noticed that the old guestbook postings (about four years worth ) are on a different page, but for some reason I wasn't authorised to se them. Very curious.
Katsy: my favourite sound is mystery. Two jokes cracked in 11 seconds! I'll put the quote up on the page, it's so good.
Can you snail mail me the video please *^_^*

I found a couple of websites too, but most of them are dreck . dangermouse.org is the only decent one in my opinion. The other link I put up because it's got the light-hearted bios and info on the car and house/postbox.
I remember that page because I got the DM MIDI off it! I've also joined the Dangermouse mailing list now. Cool, I hadn't noticed that.
So, I'll link to it.

Dangermouse mailing list? Can I get on it? Purrrrlease?
I really am into this. It's really weird how I thought of him early last week. Anyway, when I go to Ally S on saturday night I said I'm gonna bring a Dangermouse vid for me! Woo hoo! She said she'd love to watch it! It's that one in the Arctic, I know there's a second one on there, it's just a case of finding the video, then getting it in the right place.

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Mar 12, 2000
The Dangermouse mailing list is on the third link down (ie the last one). I've already signed up, and sent a test email. I hope it works .
Before, I think the only times I've mentioned Dangrermouse since 1992 has been a few times, fairly recently. I have someone in my class who loves children's programs (thought Dangermouse isn't just for children), and we'd say "hey, do you remember DM?"
All of a sudden, he's back and he's big!
Katsy, you gotta tell us all about these episodes once you've seen them!

DM is on the same tone as our US Warner Bros.(Bugs Bunny....etc.)
Entertaining to children, with a message to the adults!
At face value, it's fun......if you think about what was just said or done, there is a socialogical twist. Just as there needs to be!
