Weird...when I first read the title I read it as 'Lions and Tigers' and it conjured images of places in the world where the two animals meet and fight or something . Rather like a clash of the titans.

Very nice
A couple of nit-picks only:
"As the largest of the big cats they have been known to reach 900lbs in weight which is twice the size of a fully-grown male lion."
I was a bit confused whether "they" was referring to the liger or the tiger here.
"For two creatures who come from the same parents there are many differences between ligers and tigons,"
See what your trying to say, but they don't really come from the same parents do they? You could say parent species or something.
Also, would lions and tigers *ever* meet naturally? I thought they always lived on different continents, but could be wrong.

Another nice Entry laura! Thank you. Concise and not full of science mumbo jumbo I'd argue that there are only four big cats though.

Tigers aren't the only big cat that tolerate water. jJaguars love the stuff.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
