Thank you, Pimms
RFJS, I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you mean.
Gosho, I've been right through the GuideML clinic, and I can't find how to do TITLE tags. I've never done them before, and trying to guess how to do them, I'm getting into a right pickle.
Gimme a clue, please
Am too tired to complete tonight, will follow your advice tomorrow.
Thanks

If you look at the bar to the right of the Entry in Brunel, under Referenced Sites, some of the titles are too long to fit; and wereas h2g2 Entry titles get wrapped around multiple lines, HREF links just result in titles like 'History of the Royal Soci...' (one of the current ones). Whether you're using TITLE or not (e.g. text</LINK>, if the text is too long, it won't all display in Brunel.

It's a very fine Entry, beautifully written and dutifully linked.
One reservation : I wondered as the reporters of the recent transit lauded Horrocks quite why everyone had forgotten Crabtree.
You mention him - creditably - but do you feel sure you've given him his full due? I recall that the anticipation of the transit used to be acknowledged as a joint effort.
Pin (now minded to read this up properly. I'm remembering all this from years back - and Salford sympathies)

Well, let's take a simple one - telescope. If you do it like this: telescope it will say 'The telescope' in the info bar instead of just 'telescope'. Whatever you put into the quotes after TITLE= is what will be put there

Thanks Gosho & RFDS, I'll be back to do some tweaking with the links when I return from my appointment this morning.
Thanks Pinniped, I'd be delighted to add more information on Crabtree which you think relevant.
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Well done G'Babe You'll just have to finish the amendments in consultation with the sub-ed - I'm sure they'll give you the time to do it how you like (before changing it)
