Outskirts of Town - Morticia DeAbalo's Apothacary

It's been well documented that the Catholic church amalgamated Pagan feast days into christianity to make transision easier, making SUNday the holy day, December 25th is a Pagan Holiday, the Easter holiday is another one, the saints halo is the sun disk, even the Sheila-na-gig, a fertility symbol is found on Irish churches, you can't get rid of the last of Paganisum that easily

Listen I never said they got rid of paganism, all I'm saying is that they wanted to seperate themselves from the "Heathen" religeons.
Your damn right about 25th of december, the cult of Mithres celebrated his reawkening as he was the strongest god arround at the time, and sunday, even the 7 day week, the french after the revelution tried to get lessen the catholic churches influence one of the things they did was change it to a 10 day week, sunday is still called DImanche in french,as to the sheila-na-gig,she was a product of the celtic church, their beliefs deffered to the continental ones, and was quickly condemed by the Holy See in Rome.

I've see a picture of the Sheila-na-gig and I'm not surprised the church tried to condemn her, I mean we've all heard of men with large genitalia, but women I'm open minded but it's still a bit of a shocker

There's a carving of it in an old chapel near where I live...this was my sexual knowledge for most of my pre-adolesant life.

It wasn't so much grimace as an open mouthed wonderment and new found respect or females in general.

That should have been a sarcastic tone, the farming in Ireland is SH*T so i'll probably end up selling the house from which 4 generations came from and the farm from which an untold amount of Mc Auliffe's came out of.
