Why is it men think that cooking is woman's work yet the best chef's in the world are men

Now now,my father was the only cook in my house its just that I can't cook. I gave my Home Ec teacher food poisoning in my 1st year,I was banned from the school kitchen for life after I set my apron on fire.

I think that although some men are, most men aren't as sexist as most women make them out to be. I often cook, and I am an anti-sexist person. Don't steriotype all men as being sexist thugs who beat women. It isn't fair on the many who aren't evil.

I never said that, I'm one of 3 women in a kitchenful of men even 2 of the 3 ghosts are men, I'm just saying that in a lot of men's minds a womans place is in the kitchen and the rest believe that a womans place is on her back

Untrue. that's steriotypical again. For instance, I believe women have equal rights to men, as they suffered for years, which wasn't fair at all.

Not necessarily true, a lot of women are still way behind men in pay and position, women are still being dismissed for being pregnant, still sexualy harrased, no women Catholic Priests, a Prince still takes precident of a princess in sucession to the throne, sexual equality may be law but not necessarily in the mind of men in the establishment

But look how far we've come, a woman as president of Ireland, and queen of England, women have the same jobs as men, women pilots, doctors, scientists... the list goes on. It is true that some women are still discriminated against, but not as many as before.

Hole in one,but more importantly the anilahtion of Shewah, the female of yahweh, leading early christians, jewish themselves,to believe in the secondclassness of females.
also the whole getting cast out of eden for eating and apple didn't help the cause.

If Dan Brown is to be believed and I can't see why he shouldn't, the Patriachal church feared the Matriachal Pagans so launched a smear campaign against woman, the Pentecle being a devil worshipping symbol, Eve being the one who caused the downfall of man, the herb woman becoming the witch etc, etc, in the most Nature worshipping religions, Native American's, Wicca and the like, believe the world can only be ordered if male and female are in equality, if one becomes dominant chaos reigns
Is the world in chaos? because of male dominance, I'd say it is and I'm not a overall wearing feminist but where is the female Ayatolla, American President, Female Priest

Dan Brown's information is a little off,but generally all you said is true.
But,there's allways a "But",the early paulian church supported the role of women, paul a gentile saw their value, but the Peter's church won and Peter,a jew,saw women as scourge, possibly jelous of Mary Magdelane.

I never said I believed Dan Brown but the Rome has always seemed to put the woman down and how religion became male dominated when most of the early religions were presided over by priestesses

"presided over by priestesses"
You kinda defeated your own point there. But look I agree with you christianity in general put down womens rights.

What I was trying to say is that in early Pre christian religion most of the holy overseers were women and Rome decided that women were the enemy and had no place in their church, why?

Yoy've heard of survival of the fittest.Christianity attempted to over throw the already dominant pagan religeons, how better to do it then by destroying somthing fundamental to them, ergo, give them the edge in tghe battle for followers.
