I've got some bets on Euro 2004.

I have each way bets of £1 each on France (11/4) and Italy (9/2)

I have also, for the first time, placed a bet called a canadian or a super yankee (I'm having some fun with my winnings from the french open tennis). Basically you choose five results to bet on, and a stake, and that stake will be put on 26 times, on 10 doubles, 10 triples, 5 quadruples and a quintuple combination. Now, as I'm just tentatively dipping my toes in the world of betting (and Millwall are bastards by the way), my 26 stakes are only 10p each, making up to a stake of 2.60.

The resultys I'm relying on to get me some monety out of this are:

France to beat England
Espana to beat Russia
Italia to beat Denmark
Cesky Republiky to beat Latvia
Denmark to beat Sweden.

Well thats 6 of your double, 6 of your trebles, 4 of your quads, and your quint down after 1 game, when England and France play out a bore draw.

I'm not planning on doing any sport betting during the Championships as my betting record wasn't the greatest during last season and I'm not feeling that lucky

well that would also bugger my bet I've just put on henry as first scorer.

I've also put a double on Spain and Portugal to win today.

I changed my mind...

I've now placed a few bets based upon my h2g2 Fantasy Football League predictions. There's a 'Lucky-31' on all five games, plus 4 'result & scorer' bets on the games that I think won't finish nil-nil.

Well, - first bet in. Spain win - however your bet pays nothing for singles. What were the odds ?

this all seems horribly complicated; there's are easier ways to maximize betting gains. here's the method i used to recommend for the horses:

1) drive to track
2) park car
3) open window
4) drop $20 on ground
5) drive away

you don't even need to get out of the car!

I'm rather pleased the way things are progressing so far... my predictions on Italy, Vieri and Owen bombed, but I've got Baros, the Czechs and the Dutch still active.

I'm trying to work out a hedge on the Portuguese and another one on van Nistelhorse and then I'm guaranteed a return
