Im not eniterly sure if this is the right place to submit this page. So could you please let me know, if its right or not?

Right place or not, it would be another very welcome entry for those unfamiliar with the Guide Markup Languge (GML).

My only suggestion is to make the title more explicit and helpful; something like
"Buffy's GML Help Page - Getting Started and Text Codes ".

It certainly is a very helpful guide, but this isn't the right place for it. This is more of a help page than an Edited Guide entry, and most of the information appears on official DNA help pages.

If this is intended purely for the Buffy site, and it's not to be found anywhere on the Buffy site, you might want to contact the Buffy Editors to find out if they want to use it as an official Help Page

Gosho may be right about the 'Buffy' thing, but I kinda thought that all Edited Guide entries were supposed to be potentially 'helpful'.

But then, I'm a relative newbie.

oh well maybe talk buffy could get more use out of it as i did create the page originally to help my friends who all had no clue how to do there pages. Talk Buffy doesnt seem to have a proper gml help page at all. Where as h2g2 has many so i understand there being not much need for any more.

All though I'm not entirley sure of how to get a hold of the talk buffy editors, do you know?

Entries in the Edited Guide are meant to be about subjects other than what can be found on DNA help pages

Just a few other pointers - not all of the Smileys work outside of h2g2, and they cetainly don't display properly in the Buffy skin.

Secondly, you should note that the Marquee tag only works in Internet Explorer (and, I think a very few other browsers).

In the list codes, you culd also mention bullet points, which are the same as list codes, only the opening and closing tags read: (as the tag is short for 'Unordered lists' rather than 'Ordered lists')

One thing really worth noting though, Talk Buffy is a little different to h2g2 in that it's not about creating articles/entries, but about posting to conversations, so I'm not sure this is something that would be of interest to the site editors over there. Still, it'll help out your friends, so that's a good thing

By the way, I'm really surprised your gang didn't pick up on this particular graphic, which I drew for the Talking Point on TV imports - B5130047 - it shows Faith and Buffy and I designed it specifically with you guys in mind after we had to remove some graphics that were being 'stolen' from other websites.

Faith _and_ Buffy together... What could be er than that?!... Great idea Jimster...
