Knows some basics of Spanish including how to say 'I feel like an octopus in a garage'. Can also order any drink at a bar but cannot understand desserts. Can speak fairly fluent football but cannot describe concept of a hill. Also confuses GCSE level French with Spanish mid-conversation.
Hope you can help

How terribly embarrassing!! I wasn't subscribed to this thread for some reason! I'm terribly sorry everyone! You're all being added to the list right now and I extend my embarrassed apologies. Now that Joe C has a bit more computer access hopefully you'll all get to do a bit more than before.

Excellent Hi there. Things are a bit more lively here than in French, and I'm already teaching in... a thread that's called something or other... so read a bit in there, and then feel free to join in! If you don't understand anything I've said so far, just ask, and I'll go over it again. Are you learning Spanish at the moment, out of interest?

I can speak spanish, but I'm not perfect...so I guess I'm also learning...I tutor in spanish, so I guess I could teach...but, I'm sure there's someone better suited for that.

Hi Johnny
Welcome to the Language Thing! Feel free to drop into any threads you like and join in. Just one quick thing - if you go back to your Personal Space (click the 'My Space' button) and then click 'Edit Page' and write something about yourself, then one of the h2g2 ACEs will be able to come and welcome you to the site properly

Hola
I am studying Spanish in Alicante, and am half way thru a 6 week course. I´m heading back to the UK afterwards, and would like to keep practicing! So far I can only speak in present tense...
