Behind the scenes footage

If you were lucky enough to watch Film 2004 tonight, you would have seen some brief behind the scenes shots from the movie. We saw Arthur in his dressing gown in his demolished house, and some scenes shot on the Heart of Gold set. We also saw Sam Rockwell in his Zaphod costume. He looks scarily like movie director Renny Harlin.
I'm rather excited. I think my whoop almost woke the children.

Not long - the whole piece was under a minute. It was part of a round-up of movies coming out next year.

I saw it, was rather noticable that Zaphod was bimainal (?) and only had 1 head, I'm taking it that the extra arm and head are going to be CGI ?

Er ... about Zaphod. Does anybody KNOW if he's absolutely-for-one-hundred-percent-certain going to HAVE two heads??? A one-headed, two-armed Zaphod Beeblebrox would of course be utterly _wrong_ ... but I'd rather a one-headed, two-armed Zaphod instead of a two-headed, three-armed, utterly fake, CLEARLY CG-ed Zaphod, so I'll take what I can get. How all of this is handled should be interesting to see ...

In an interview with Hotdog magazine Sam Rockwell said the following:
“Ah... ‘The head thing’. It’s a surprise - there may not be a second head. All I can tell you is Zaphod has a lot of repressed energy.”
Make of that what you will...

Unless they've had a major change of heart, Zaphod does indeed have two heads. In the draft of the script that Douglas wrote the second head was integral to the plot, and I think that might still be the case.
How they're doing it is something they're keeping very close to their chests.
