Well you technically *can* do that. But I don't recommend trying.
BTW, where in CLI does this portal come out? You know, for continuity purposes.

E: I don´t know where I came out...
T: I think he wants to säy you, thät you cän choose the continuety yoursälf!
EaE: Well I guess he came out of the most improbable place of all.
T: Häs your CLI got a cät´s toilet? I think thät would be very improbbabble...
E: Oh, come off it, I think I came through that door there?
EaE: The one marked "Crematorium"? You know, you´re not Lazarus, or that other girl!
T: Perhäps Äffy häs a real cräter where we could have found E! Äffy, äny suggestions?

*Affy closes super-large microwave number 4, deciding that it's the most likely (and convenient) place for a time/space rift between CLI and the 24-7*
Actually, CLI is literally inside a crater. There is another more recent (and much smaller) crater outside, but I guarantee that nothing's inside of it.
However, we might be able to search the tunnels. I've never been in them myself, I've just told my digging bots to randomly dig tunnels in various directions. It should be an interesting maze by now.

T: Oh Käy, Boyz! E you täke the tannel down to the left, EaE you go down the north end. I will täke cäre you will be searched for, when you don´t come back next week.
E: Yeah, that jolly well looks like you! T our Führer...
EaE: HAH! And that´s that typical british attitude, that as soon as anyone starts organizing things a little he is apt to be a neonationalsocialist! Unbelievable! These prejudiced smallminds! And T that bloody wellorganized busybody!!!
*Everyone goes on to their job...*

*Affy shrugs at the barely noticeable continuity error, and waits to see if anything happens*

So. Ready to go search some subterannean tunnels?

*The three of me rally together*
Sir Affy, do please take the lead!

Hang on, not just yet. Lemme make a few calls....
*Affy picks up a phone and dials the Frobozz Magic Puzzle And Monster Company, and then places a few more discreet calls*
Okay, I'm going to call in a few other adventurers. Because I've also just placed an order to fill those caves with trapz, puzzles, and monsters.

*Affy watches as several storage trucks back up to the tunnel entrance, and release hundreds of monsters into the murky depths on the tunnels. Then, he watches several architects run into the cave to place traps. Finally, a few mages go in to make sure that the place has a decent number of puzzles in it*
