That's a frustrating thing I find...so many big HM bands I'm missing out on. AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Kiss...I've got a live Sabbath album and that's it!
Which, of course, is why this thread is here. I sit & listen .
AC/DC had an interview in Kerrang! last week...they've done some pretty cool stuff, no?
Ozzy Osbourne, on Live At Last, sounds like a muppet. The guitarist starts each song with a burst of feedback, and Wicked World last nearly 20 minutes cos of their 'improvisation'. So, so cool

Personally, I like Hemispheres better than 2112.

Oh yeah, I mean, they say "suh see-kwull is never as good as de orijinul", and that just seems totally applicable to everything.
Even if the first, say, CD you buy is total crap, you still feel attatched to it.
How many people are going to see Iron Maiden's Metal 2000 tour?
Apparently Slayer is one of the supporting bands, and I need to buy tickets bloody soon!

Mike A - when is the tour, I can let you know if Slayer will be playing or not.
I guess this is the place I tell of my sordid Metal Militia days.
The first tape I ever listened to was a copy of a KISS record, couldn't even tell you which one. I listened to it until the tape broke. Then came AC/DC with Back in Black. After that I was all over the music scene until a friend of mine gave me a tape to listen to. A little ditty called Ride the Lightning, after the guitar intro in Fight Fire with Fire I was hooked. The second concert I ever went to was Danzig's A Long Way Back From Hell tour. I love Metallica, Anthraz, White Zombie, Slayer, Pantera, Slipknot, Sepultura, early GnR, Misfits, etc.
In LA we had a local Metal radio station called KNAC, they were bought @#$%ing ABC and sold as a mexican radion station the next year. I called sick to work on KNAC's last day just to listen to the last metal on Southern California airways
Now KNAC is on the net at KNAC.com and if you are a Metal Maniac then you should check it out

http://www.knac.com right?
Back In Black rox...I nearly bought it in a sal. But instead I got Slayer's Decade Of Agression *^_^*
Courtesy, Metal 2000 at Earl's Court is on June 16th. Turns out Slayer ARE supporting, but I don't know who else is. Please help *^_^*.
I say, did you get much experience of the blues? It's the root of all music apparently (I slightly disagree), and lots of music fans have gone from whatever music they originally like to the blues. I had somebody say how slightly odd it was that I went in the opposite way, from Eric Clapton to Iron Maiden. Anybody wanna komment?
I got tickets btw
About a week or two ago I wrote a few HM articles on bands, and submitted them. Anybody wanna check 'em out?
